USA isn't making cuts until after there pre-tourney games. So the 22nd or 23rd IIRC.

Ghost with the slashing penalty. Been playing well up to that needless penalty.

I think he took 2? Maybe 3. But they were calling everything. He stood out to me, played PP and PK. Generated some scoring chances and got the OT winner. I think he should definitely make the team.

Rewatching the game now.

Ghost had 1 bad penalty (the slash) but the other was questionable IMO. He doesn't have a lot of penalty minutes at Union this year so I'll chalk that up as an anomaly.

But man, I think he might be my favorite prospect. Was quarterbacking the PP most of the game. Looked natural there. Played some PK too. Made some nice rushes even strength.

And his goal was a BOMB. Just a cannon off the faceoff.

Really, really like him. Think he can be a top 4, PP QB (like Kimmo).

Just a heads up for everyone.

It looks like NHL network is replaying it at 8 tonight EST (Thursday 12-20).

Was able to watch the first two periods. Stupid slashing penality, I agree with that. I really do like how calm and poised he is with the puck. Plus seems to ALWAYS makes the smart pass.

Was impressed with his skating. Numerous times he was able to keep up with some of the shifty swedish players.

Any highlights available from the USA-SWE game?

TSN has 11min of highlights from the CAN-FIN game and 1min of the USA-SWE game, half of it is about the interview Seth Jones gave.

So the next game against Finland tomorrow seems to be a chemistry building game, so if Gostisbere is in the lineup, seems like a sure/good thing.

Well I'm not sure how much chemisty was built this game.

Gostisbere was in the lineup but USA lost 5-1.

Heard he had an average game. There were defenders that played worse than him (rielly and jones didnt look too good) but heard he made some bad giveaways. He did even it out with good plays but still.

I think nhl network is replaying it at 1 so gonna give it a watch

USA making cuts 3:00 AM Sunday morning.

On another note, when we voted who we would take in the draft at 5, I changed my mind. I'd still take Risto if he was there but Drouin is a player I easily take. Kid is dynamic with the puck.

His goal from today:

That's why I picked him

Whoever gets him will be getting a dynamic offensive player.

We can only hope that we have the opportunity to debate who to draft in the top 5.

I just finished watching the game, and am glad he scored the OT winner. However, I don't think he looked that good out there. Murphy, McCabe (very limited ice time) and Grzelcyk all looked better to me, and other than scoring the GWG, I thought he looked pretty shaky. He looked alright on the offensive side of things, but his defensive play deserved third line pairing at best. I'm going to watch today's game tomorrow, and hopefully he did better, since I'm hoping he turns out well for the Flyers, as well.

Brady Skjei and Stefan Matteau were released from the camp. Eight defensemen, 13 forwards and three goalies remain. #2013WJC
One more defenseman still has to be cut. I think they are waiting on news about Connor Murphy's injury.
