I'd like to see that as well, but also...not? I think their best shot at winning the cup is with both goalies, so I strongly believe that they should definitely have them splitting time throughout the season and through the playoffs. Its a great strength to have.
everyone remembers the incredible desperation save, but that pass....

agreed on splitting time

All the bolded ones are either untrue, or very debatable in my opinion.

Quick, Lundqvist, Price, Rinne and Thomas, I believe, are better than Luongo in roughly that order.

Half this list have had an inferior SV% to Luongo almost every year...

My Ranking-

1. Lundqvist
2. Quick
3. Rinne
4. Thomas
5. Schneider
6. Luongo
7. Price
8. Miller/Kiprusoff

My 3 favourites for the Vezina - Lundqvist, Quick, Schneider

Halak and Howard, no. Thomas won't be playing. Miller, not really. Some others can be debated. Sorry, there is no way there are 10 better goalies in the league than Luongo

Brodeur had a great playoffs. But I don't even have him in the top 20. He's aged a lot.

Wow..Luongo hater...

Lundqvist, Quick and Thomas are better
Halak and Howard aren't on the same planet.
the rest are debatable.

There is NO WAY that there are 10 goaltenders better than Luo. Keep the hate going.

I see you are new to the game of Hockey. Welcome. You have much to learn about the actual game though. Perhaps some of your fellow Leaf fans can teach you how it is played. Perhaps you might consider watching a few games after the lockout as well.

Created an account just to bash Luongo. How pathetic.

Because toronto was one of the teams that was said to be on his list. Also there has been talks between gillis and burke over Luongo. Now if there was no way lou would waive to Toronto why would gillis waste his time. So theres your asnwer.

Who here has been hating on Miller? Is it because people don't believe Miller is a better goalie than Luongo? Would that actually classify as hating? If I think Crosby is better than Stamkos does that mean I hate Stamkos? I don't see this hate you speak of.

I personally cannot tell you why Luongo would waive his NTC to go to the Leafs. At this point it is purely speculation as to Toronto even being an option. I think only Luongo himself could tell you why or why he would not waive for TO. My guess would be that Luongo likes playing in the big markets. He loves the passionate fan bases and TML would certainly classify as a passionate fanbase.

This list is nothing but hate for Luo. There's a couple ahead of Luo, a couple you could debate on, and the rest are clearly not as good as Luo.

No hate, he just does not belong in this discussion. Luongo has vastly outplayed him their entire careers. Frankly, Miller boards on the definition of overrated. Good goalie to be certain but he really only dominated a season once. The Olympics and Flyers series were standouts to be specific.

Luongo is a competitor and wants to play. While Florida may be his desired destination. I cannot see him putting up an argument about any team if the alternative has him riding shotgun to Schneider.

Bolded are not better than Luongo, this list is laughable. Care to back it up with something?

I would say Cory Schneider is better than Luongo. Not nearly as proven and could still falter but watching both these goalies last season I absolutely thought Schneider was a cut above and should have been the Canucks starting goalie in the playoffs.

Though I also believe Schneider is right on par with Jonathan Quick. We'll find out soon enough.

To solidify his place in the HHOF? Borderline guys who have played for the Leafs usually make it.

- hockey market
- defensive coach/system
- GM who sticks up for his players
- much lower fan expectations
- more marketing $$$
- probable playoff team with Luongo in net

Of course the major reason why he wouldn't is because Toronto is a lottery team.

as to the rest :

Also why would Luongo want to go from a stanley cup contender to a play off team , Does he not want win a cup?

In Vancouver if we don't win the cup, it's all Luongo's fault(at least to the casual fan). In Toronto if he makes the playoffs they'll be erecting statues of him. Exaggerations, but still.

And while going to a cup contender is probably preferable, Chicago is likely the only option that needs a goalie. If you were Luongo, would you rather want to play with Chicago or Toronto? Not to mention his supposedly preferred destination was Florida, which also isn't exactly a contender right now.

TO's fans want playoffs. In Vancouver it's cup or bust.

I think a lot will have to fall onto Burke's immediate plans for the Leafs, maybe he convinces Luongo they're ready to contend in 2 years.

Parise + Suter bought into the Wild's future. Maybe Luongo buys into the Rielly/Gardiner/Kadri/Frattin hype.

I still think FLA is the best option by far, playoff team with an amazing future + location.
