Proposal: Undo a trade in the past 2 seasons! (Since summer 2010)

Since the summer 2010, which trade you wish your team could undo?

As a Montreal fan, i would undo the Sergei Kostitsyn trade.

McGinn, Connolly, and Sgarbossa for Winnik, Galiardi, and a 2013 7th

I was okay with getting Galiardi (and would find another way to do so), but losing Sgarbossa for basically nothing now hurts

Option 1: Beauchemin for Gardiner and Lupul

Result: The Ducks suck really bad for the last 2 years but have Gardiner and possibly Schultz for the next 8 years and better draft picks (not complaining at all about our drafting in the last 2 years).


Option 2: Cogliano for 2013 2nd

Result: We have more money not wasted on Cogs and a 2nd rounder in an amazing draft.

In the past two years I am happy with every trade the Avs have made except Liles for a 2nd. The only reason I have no desire to undo it is that it led to the Varlamov trade.

So if I could undo that trade and still arrange for the Varlamov trade I'd be fine.

It was a good trade at the time, but with Schenn now gone, Aulie would have a full time spot and address a need on our blueline. Ashton is at our greatest position of strength.

Washington would have been fine taking the Avs 2nd I'm sure. So we would have Liles instead of Heard. That's a trade I would undo. Avs have one puckmover, and lots of cap space. Liles should have stayed.

As a Flyers fan, easily Simon Gagne for Matt Walker and a 4th rounder. The Versteeg for a 1st/3rd was also bad, but Holmgren ended up getting a good return for him later on.
