Considering Thomas isn't playing (or wouldn't be), I'll take the pair that has a legitimate starter for 12/13.

You're just pulling that out of your ***. Harding is a fighter, he'll play through this as long as he can. It probably won't even affect his game for at least a couple years anyway.
I go with Backstrom/Harding simply because Thomas isn't playing, and shouldn't be considered a starter because of that. It should be Rask/Khudobin not Thomas/Rask.
Technically no one's really playing right now. Who knows Thomas could decide he wants to play if this thing gets resolved? I highly doubt it, and yes I agree about Harding. He has said he would like to continue to play, and I've always liked him so I'll be rooting for him. Parise hate aside.
Wouldn't mind Backstrom as a stop gap starter in 2014 for the Devils if Marty retires, and Minnesota decides to move on without him.
