The world has already ended in New Zealand. However, everything down there is upside down so in fact, the world has just begun.

Then it's pretty boring until....

About the December 26/27 timeframe. There is model disagreement, with the European model forecasting a snowstorm for the northeast (2 to 6 inches for Jersey) and a lot of snow in parts of New England, but the American model has a nasty rain, snow, ice mix for us with the snow being up in New England.

EDIT: And yes, this is assuming the world doesn't end tomorrow.
Well I hope the European model comes true.

Edit: although it is pretty damn cold outside.

They need to make it easier for the insane to be locked up...enough of this ***** ass civil procedure, incompetence is incompetence

Reform the tort system to make it harder to assert assault or battery claims against docs, reform the med system and contract system so thst mentally ill by preponderance or even better substantial evidence gets a doc off by privilege implied in law.

But do keep clear and convincing for contract repudiators...

Her mother would basically come in maybe 2-4 times a year, whereas it could be monthly in Hoboken/JC which is a big different to her. Lots of little things like that.

Plus I still want at least 1 car, because I need to go to work sites not easily accessible by mass transit occasionally. It's not really a money thing but a complete quality of life kind of thing.

I just don't want or need a $3K/mth studio on the water.... So I need to know what neighborhoods to look for and which to avoid... haha
I live in Jersey City, about a 10 min walk from the Grove St PATH station. I share a 3 bedroom apartment, and pay $1100/month for the master bedroom that includes a balcony, walk-in closet, and my own full bathroom. I have a car that I'm always able to park within 2 blocks of my apartment (and 95% of the time within 1 block).

Parking is still tough compared to less populated areas, but I think Jersey City parking is definitely better than Hoboken parking. If you want a dedicated spot, you're probably looking between $150-200/month in Jersey City, and in the area of $250/month in Hoboken.

For Hoboken, the further downtown you are and the closer you are to the PATH station, the more expensive your rent will be. I've heard there are sweet deals further uptown in Hoboken (like 8th street and up). Uptown you can either take a shuttle bus to the PATH or take a light rail to Exchange Place in JC and then take the PATH from there.

Night life and restaurants are much better in Hoboken, but with it only being a PATH ride away from JC, I don't think the extra rent + parking hassle is worth it.

Nice post. Can you recommend some neighborhoods and/or street areas by a PATH station? Thanks man!

I just assumed it was timed to Guatemala's time zone.

Those Mayans should have left a manual or something.

I believe the proper spelling is "Manuel" or "Manuél".

So, I'm going to go against every instinct I have and ask the TaN for lady advice. But only some of you, and I'll explain why.

I posted about the girl I met the other night. Turns out she's half Swedish, and culturally very Swedish, her father is from Goteborg, she shares a surname with a Swedish NHL player, she speaks the language, and she even has a slight accent when she speaks English, even though she was mostly raised here.

With this knowledge, I ask my Swedish friends here in the TaN, how do I woo her more effectively? I really like this girl, and she seems to like me, but I want to make the connection even more special by making an attempt to learn more about the culture. Any advice is appreciated.

Buy the NHL player's jersey. Say you customized it for her.

I'm not Swedish, but a more important question, does she like hockey?
