I own an x-box 360 wireless controller with the little transmitter thingy that lets windows use it. I got it because I wanted a wireless controller to play games with and the 360s controller design is just about the best thing ever. The only problem is the D-Pad kind of sucks for 2-d games because of how mushy it is and how much crosstalk it generates (for example, pressing left and actually getting up or down).
So I found a mod on the internet that looked pretty easy to do and I just spent a couple of hours taking apart and reassembling my controller over and over until I found the best feel for it. I think it was worth it. What I ended up doing was sanding around the well that the d-pad sits in to give it more room to move, and added a little washer to the inside mechanism to take some of the slip away and give it better accuracy.
It has significantly improved its ability to play 2-d games. There is still some crosstalk, but not much more than you would get with a great d-pad like the SNES one.
Doesn't mean Brodin is guaranteed to be in the game. Knowing EA they'll just look at the players who played in the most recent Aeros game and seeing no Brodin, they won't put him in the game.
EA got a new license for the AHL roster so he can now be added.
Speaking of NHL 13, wanna play one online VS in 5 minutes or so?
I'd play EASHL but I can't leave my team, sorry. But we should play against each others' teams some day. It'll be fun. You'll need a human goalie though, as we have one.
Son of a *****! I see that Koivu is injured for the next 2 to 3 months in the EA NHL 13 simulation. Looks like we'll never see a SOTW Koivu for HUT now.
On the bright side, they do have a SOTW Parise this week and he's listed as a Wild rather than a Devil.
ABOUT TIME!!! Roster update for the AHL just came out. Brodin, Phillips, Coyle in the game now and many prospects have received a big stat boost. A couple examples include Granlund going from a 67 to a 75, and Larsson going from a 58 to a 67 (I think, it's at least 63).
So, what are Granlund, Bulmer, Brodin, Coyle, Larsson and Phillips overalls and potential?
I'd be happy to tell you as I'm just about to start a brand new Be a GM mode with this new update. If I recall right, before the update their overalls and potential ratings were:
Surprised they gave Coyle 4 1/2 Stars rather than just 4. Zucker only has 3 Stars and he's putting up much better numbers, although he's the only Wild prospect with Green stars rather than gold.
I think I have 223 GP overall, with around 140-150 with my club and rest are sparring matches.
Really can't remember my point totals, but I think I'm still under PPG by 30-40 points or so. I play mostly as a D-man, so that explains the assists/goals-ratio.
I've taken up playing FWD recently though, and I must say, it is pleasant, especially with my D experience so I can actually be useful on both sides of the puck. I'm still primarily a D though.
We should play an EASHL game versus each others' clubs sometimes. You know, a challenge match.
