He was originally credited for the assist on Tikhonov's goal, but I guess they changed it to Kalinin. Could have sworn Tarasenko passed him the puck. Oh well, Vladi still had a really good game. Besides the goal in the beginning...he also drew a couple penalties. One of which where he was tripped and still managed to get a nice shot off from the knees. You can tell this new coach has a lot of confidence in him. His playing time has increased quite a bit. Including a good deal of time on the powerplay. Quite a treat to watch him and Kovy work their magic out there.

And 2 goals in the 3rd. First goal looked like Tikhonov's though.

2+2 today and 14 + 16 after 25 GP. Kuznetsov is 14+16 aswell, btw. But after 33 GP.

That was Tikhonov's goal. I think Vladi thought he put it in.

Here's the link to his: http://www.championat.com/video/hockey/v/63/63161.html

No points for Vladi or Kovy against Datsyuk and Radulov yesterday, but they've both been named to the KHL's Western All-Star team. Lehtera has also also named to the East. Just as a reminder, SKA plays Slovan at 9:30CT tommorow morning. As usual, I'll post a link around game time.

I am not sure if this has been posted yet, but here is the SKA's promo video with Tarasenko. It's not new, nevethereless, enjoy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9JMKLwRGFI

The wording in the video:

"I am at SKA's practice! Unbelievable! This is Tarasenko!
I heard that a true sniper can hit a coin......

Good thing he plays for us".

Nice series of plays by Tarasenko in the second. Nearly had a goal early on.

Some sloppy passes in the second period by SKA.

That's a pretty heavy shot, but Varly had no chance.

Tarasenko isn't that good in fighting. Unlike Kovy.

Man can that kid fire the puck. His one-timer top shelf was great, but the shot that really caught my eye was right at the start of the video posted just above, when he does a quick drag and then rifles it high, all in one quick motion (1:05 mark). Good glove on that by Varlamov.

I agree Sam. Had he not shot so high, that could have been a goal.

So...fingers crossed Vladi's last game for SKA is 1/10? Hopefully we can remove the prospect info tag on this thread 19th too.

Every time I think about the lockout being lifted I get excited that I get to see the Blues play again. Then just a few seconds later I remember that we have one of the top prospects in the world and that he has agreed to don the BlueNote and I can hardly contain myself. I've been a huge fan my entire life and I've never been this excited about a hockey season. JUST GET IT DONE!
