I think you make a good point. David Miller, Jake Evans are doing very well in the OJHL. DAvid Miller is so darn smart and seems to have a will to win. Jake Evans is super smart and has excellent all round game. These 2 former Rebels to me are better than some of the First round picks like J. Addison. Evans only fell in the draft because of NCAA commitments. Miller I think scouts are just waiting for his size to limit him at the next level and its just not happening. He is very determined kid with a boatload of toughness. Last Yer in the playoffs Miller separated his shoulder and didnt want to miss time at all. That is inspiring and is one reason he had the C on his chest. Evans and Miller are very unselfish players as well. Addison is very one dimensional player. That dimension is a faboulous shot. Addison is dis-engaged without the puck. He was drafted far to high. Centorame to me was never appreciated last year but is phenomenal and so is Kyle Jenkins. All 4 are doing fantastic in the OJHL. Cornel, Petti, Hargrave and Desousa are not doing much in the OHL. Everyone else is doing very well. Lindo has less skill than most of those other guys but plays his role incredibly well. He grinds like crazy and forecheck like a monster. No other 16 yr old does that role like Lindo and u need that with on every team.

Many good points. I also loved Miller + Evans. Thought they were better than Bourne + Hargrave on that Rebel team. Addison did go too high, I preferred Lindo, Addison didn't make the team, one of the only 1st rd picks not to. Petti isn't playing badly and DeSousa is getting 4th line forward minutes as their blueline has a few older boys that George should be getting rid of. Cornel is doing nothing on a bad team and shouldn't be on the team, but hey he went 3rd overall. ( I'd like to repick if I'm the Petes brass)

Team Ontario/GTHL All Stars.

Goes to show you just how strong the Marlies and Rebels '96's were. David Miller could definitely be on this team. On top of his well rounded game, he's incredibly strong on his skates. Rarely ever saw a player get the better of him physically and in one-on-one battles.

I love watching the super teams. Always fun to watch them head-to-head or take on the best Detroit has to offer. Sadly, the '97's don't seem to have that same cache.

Looking forward to the Silverstick starting up tomorrow, and seeing just how good Compuware is in comparison to the powerhouse '95 Honeybaked squad and '96 Belle Tire squad.

1-0 Canada after the first period

Ekblad from Mcdavid and Bennett on a 5-3 PP. Beautiful one timer with Ekblad pinching from the point.

Ekblad is so poised in his own end, very impressive.
One of the lines is Lindo, Hargrave and Bourne. Talk about massive.
Love the re-uniting Watson and McCann and Bennett and Mcdavid.
Bennett and MCdavid have the best chemistry Ive ever seen from 2 minor hockey players hands down. I swear those two are telepathic on the ice.
Middleton is a physical beast with a real nasty mean streak, gotta love it.

Cornel did play against the USA. He got very little ice though. Coach went to a short bench mid third period and Cornel and Hosang didnt get a shift in overtime in a 4 on 4 setting. Game @ 1:30 today, I hope to see more of Cornel. I really hope he has a nice second half in the OHL.

I'm still wondering why HoSang did not get a shift in the 4 on 4 overtime, I thought he could have made a difference with his speed in OT.

In the games I've seen him play he is prone to hang onto the puck to long and turn it over. I'm guessing the coaches didn't want to risk a bad turnover that could cost them in OT.

Mcdavid is adding the hard net drive to his game. McCann is a joy to watch. I see his game growing and growing over time.
