I didn't think Collberg looked great today, but De La Rose was a real standout. Some of that may have been the "surprise" factor of not expecting anything (because I knew nothing) of him, but I got the impression he was helping to create some quality chances. I was also surprised how well he moved for his size.

Usually when you bring younger guys they're there for scoring. de la Rose is there for checking, energy and killing penalties, and I thought he was by far the best at that at that. At numerous times he killed off 10-15 seconds on his own.
On the other hand, i found defensemen as a whole to be quite disappointing and if this game was any indication it looks like Sweden is going to miss Brodin and Klefbom pretty bad
Yes but that doesn't really change my point does it? And yea lindholm and arvidsson would mean even more offense
Well you said yesterday!
Two right hand shooters that are good PP players, bumps the 2nd liners from yesterday to the third line, the third liners to the fourth line, the extra players out of lineup. I think that makes a big difference the way the team is built, with only two real scoring lines. Remove Lindholm's line and this team is a one-trick pony against the best teams.

I found it hard to get a read on the Ds. They rolled four pairings, and about half the guys were playing roughly 10 minutes each with Vikstrand playing over 20. Lindholm only played 15.

Pretty much what I thought while watching the game. The only line constantly creating offense against USA was the Forsberg line. Replacing Fröberg with Lindholm and Sandberg with Arvidsson will give us 3 lines that should be able to spend some time in the offensive zone. Those guys should be a big part of the offense on this team, especially on the PP.
