I see they added Damien Brunner as a free agent now. 4 star potential at 60 overall.

A few other prospects that I think they also added in with the update but I'm not positive. They may have already been there before:

Zibanejad 4 stars 69 overall
Grigorenko 4 1/2 stars 64 overall
J. Schultz 4 1/2 stars 81 overall (are you ****ing kidding me?!?!)
Klefbom 4 stars 59 overall
Lindholm 4 stars 60 overall

Grigorenko was already in the game before any update.

Alright, here we go, first GM mode with all the Wild prospects in it.

First trade:

Scandella, Foster for Kreider

Falk has more potential than Scandella and they're identical players so I had to dump one of them.

Second trade:

Christensen to Nashville for NSH 3rd, Buffalo 4th and NSH 6th

Third trade:

Kuemper to Florida for Kuba and a 5th

No need for Kuemper with Hackett and Gusty and Kuba solidifies the top 4 alongside Gilbert until Brodin is ready.

Why didn't you update the Wild roster by dumping Foster, Christensen etc, before starting your Be a GM?

That's what I'm gonna do before starting any mode

I'm just using the rosters they have, don't like to edit them manually.

On the bright side, since he's playing in the KHL now during the lockout, Edmonton no longer has Yakupov in the game.

So, Brodin has the wrong number with the Aeros. (#11, should be #25) How shocking.

Thank God, I'm editing some potential/overall/etc to make it more realistic before starting my GM mode.

I'm about 45 games into my GM mode and the Wild are 28-15-2. My lines are as follows after some more trading and signings:

Parise - Koivu - Heatley
Bouchard - Cullen - Seto
R. Smyth - Brodziak - Clutter
Powe - Konopka - Rolston

Suter - Spurgeon
Kuba - Gilbert
Cumiskey - Sopel

Backs
Hards

I'm stacking up Houston this year, leaving everyone that I can there.

Actually, Brodin, Bulmer and Larsson have the wrong #.

EDIT: How come Kassian is still with the team?

Not sure what you mean. Kassian signed a 2 year deal earlier this year so why wouldn't he be? Or do you mean why he's still listed as an Aero rather than a Wild? Not sure about that one.

NVM about players having the wrong #s.

Must be because I was in their default database when I edited them.

1st season ends with the Wild finishing 55-24-3 for 113 pts, 3 short of Presidents Trophy winning San Jose with 116. Top point getter, Parise with 81. Backstrom finishes with a 1.87 GAA and a 93.7 Sv%, might get the Vezina.

Edit: Beat the Kings in the 1st round of the playoffs 4-1 but lost to Chicago 4-2 in the Conference Semi-Finals. Houston loses in the Conference Finals 4-2 to Lake Erie.

Going to splurge on a couple video game things this weekend.

I got my HDMI cable for my Macbook so I can hook up old school NES/SNES/N64/etc games. Only problem is there's a bit of lag. I'm going to play around with the settings to see if I can improve that at all. It might not be bad enough to make a difference.

Also going to pick up a second PS3 controller. On sale for $40 at Target. Sync up with the Mac so I can play console games via bluetooth. Worked with my other controller but I don't want to spend 5 minutes syncing between devices.

Then going to buy a few non-violent games so I can play in front of my kid. Seriously, I can't hardly start up a game anymore. My backlog includes Assassin's Creed, which I call "the jumping game" but he says "you're hitting people and they die". And then Bulletstorm which was just pure violence. And Bioshock...yeah.

So going to drop a few bucks on Beyond Good & Evil, Journey, Papa y Yo, maybe something chill like Eden or Flower.

Journey is amazing, but I don't know if I would call Papa Y Yo kid friendly. The game is effectively about an abusive father...

Yeah I could really use to pick up a 2nd PS3 controller myself considering my current 2nd one has been thrown dropped one too many times and the wiring must be messed up because when I click L3 it usually clicks another button with it, usually X, O, or Square.

As for my Be a GM mode, it seems that Brodin and Coyle only went up a couple levels in overall, but Clutter went from 79 to 84 and Granlund went all the way from 75 overall to 85 overall in one year.

So, I decided to sim most Wild games and play most Aeros games in my Be a GM mode.

Should be fun.

My 3-year-old won't pick up on allegory. More importantly, there's not blood spraying everywhere and explicit violence.

After tweaking the Aeros players, here's how it looks like now. It's more realistic with what I have seen so far IMO.

Granlund: Unedited except I changed the blue visor to a regular one
Palmieri: Changed his OVR to 73; can't be the best player of the team after all..
Scandella: Changed some attributes; still 74 OVR
McMillan: Unedited
Kampfer: Unedited
Brodin: Changed some attributes to make him more defensive defenseman + changed his potential to 4.5 stars since he looked so promising before the injury.
Connelly: Unedited
Zucker: Changed his OVR to 70 + more offensive skills and made him 3.5 stars.
Bagnall: Changed his OVR to 68 but added more toughness attributes
Coyle: Unedited
Fontaine: Changed his OVR to 68. Kept the same potential though.
Larsson: Changed his OVR to 68. Added more physical attributes
Palmer: Unedited
Bulmer: Changed his OVR to 66 since I'm a bit disappointed in him.
Cuma: Unedited
McIntyre: Unedited
Phillips: Changed some offensive attributes (skills); 67 OVR
Rau: Unedited
Broda: Unedited
Foucault: Unedited
Petersen: Changed his OVR to 62. Still nice to see he's there.
Fredheim: Unedited
Medvec: Changed some defensive attributes; now 64 OVR.
Genoway: Unedited
Mignardi: Meh, unedited.

I've also changed position to some players. Can't remember who.

I'm on an emulator kick since my surgery since it kind of hurts just a little bit to sit in the position I like to sit in when I play FPS games. I am so glad I modded my XBox 360 Controller's DPad. It is so much better now.

Been playing some classic NES Megaman. So good.

I've been playing through The Walking Dead video game. I bought it on disc when it came out last week and I just finished episode 4 out of the 5 episodes. Being a point-and-click game I can see why some people wouldn't like it, but I absolutely love the game. It's SUPER intense at times and does a really good job of investing the player into each character. Makes it much more emotional when characters die.
