U.S. round robin are on NHL Network, right?

Would like seeing some Canada as well. I assume they'd be on NHLN as well.

American NHLN, that is.

US NHLN usually broadcasts the entire tournament, at least that's what I remember last year.

Yeah, that's what I remembered too.

Know of any good NHLN streams? Won't have access to the channel during the holiday, unfortunately, but I want to watch as many WJ games as I can.
I assume posting links to that kind of thing on the forum itself is frowned upon, so for anyone who has anything, please just PM me. Thanks in advance

Or if not, just post it here. Either way. Haha.

Canada would seem to be the heavy favourite...esp in light of our offense. i'm worried about our goal - i expect subban to be #1 re canada's goal...but the yanks are so solid w/ gibson - imo he's the best goalie in the entire CHL..and maybe at the tourney (and i'm a knights fan). i also expect the US will be able to grind out in a way that Canada simply won't. canada's decided to do the "speed, skill" thing...which is nice, but i worry about us against us and russia.

Re: russia - of everyone on that roster (incl. yakupov) vasilevski is scariest - didn't he play last yr as 17 yr old (or am i wrong on that one?).

on paper it looks like canada - and they're trying to hype it as a canada/russia gold medal match - but i think the us is under-rated in the tourney.

we'll see. no matter the hype, canada's juniors are great at cr@pping the bed at the worst possible moment.

WJC: Blackhawks Prospects Reports

Was not able to see the Canada-Finnland exhibition game this morning. Danault and Teravainen suiting up on opposing teams.

Thought that we might use this tread to report on our personal game observations of our prospects for the WJC.

So, with that said...any scouting reports on how our guys performed?

Just turned it on to see Lucia setup Hartman

2-0 US

Also feel free to discuss all WJC hockey not just our prospects in this thread (Not like we will have NHL to discuss anytime soon)

U.S games are streamed on nhl.com for Americans, so I guess an NHLN stream from another website won't be necessary.

Can't remember if Canada's games are going to be streamed too... hope they are, I wanted to watch them as well.

firstrowsports.eu is a great site to catch most of the games. I found both games on there this morning/afternoon.

Don't have to pay, unlike TSN (for our Canadian viewers)

NHL Network is currently showing only USA games. No replay of the Canada game today, and scrolling through the guide, I don't yet find any Canada games.

I only saw the highlights of Can vs Fin. It looked like Danault was on the PK both times when Finland scored on those 5-on-3's. I like that Danault appears to be on the top PK unit.

Teravainen made a sweet little pass to set up Finland's winning goal but somehow didn't get an assist in the boxscore. Not sure if a Canadien player touched the pass or not so maybe that's why he didn't get the assist. Still a nice play by Teuvo though.

Charles Hudon got a back injury, and McNeill was called in as his replacement.

Looks like he made the team after all.

Cool on McNeill making the team - although after seeing how tight the Can-Fin game was called I'm a little surprised a more finesse player didn't get the callup.

So stoked for McNeill. He should have never been cut in the first place.

You should leave the poll open until the tournament itself starts

I think TSN or another Canadian site streams the Canadian games - but I think you have to pay (and don't know if you can access it outside Canada).

I'm happy for him, too...but wonder whether bringing Monahan would have been a better replacement b/c he'll also be able to add an offensive touch I don't think McNeill will.

We're talking about a team with Nugent-Hopkins, Huberdeau, Schiefele, Strome, MacKinnon and Drouin.. not to mention 'checkers', like McNeill, Danault and Jenner (who I don't care much for), who all lead their teams in scoring.. this team isn't starved for offense, they need guys that can PK and check.. McNeill's a perfect fit and he should have been on the team from the beginning.

i agree, i think. i was so positive he'd make - esp. from the early response to him at camp. i'm not sad to see Hudon go...i just don't like him as much as others do.

i don't love jenner, either. i also have no liking for rattie.

...don't even get me started about murphy

to be honest, i probably was just hoping monahan would make it b/c i really like him as a player...but you're probably right about mcneill being the more appropriate replacement.

in any event, i don't even care...i'm just happy both Danault and McNeill are now there

too bad zadorov was cut by russia...i would have liked to see him at the competition. depending on where we're picking, he's someone i'd like us to consider.

Agreed.

Jenner just bugs me. He's not a good skater, and while he's been hyped up as a good defensive player, I personally haven't seen it. I'm not saying he's bad defensively, but he doesn't excell in his own zone.

Rattie, again, not a great skater and for all the ridiculous offensive totals he's put up in the WHL, he simply doesn't stand out much; he doesn't create much.

I don't mind Hudon, but he shouldn't have been a lock because of an under-17 tournament - 2 years ago - and a strong showing during a summer tournament.

And Murphy.. Ahh, Murphy.. I could say alot about Murphy, lol.
