He looked good in preseason and I was a little surprised he didn't get a little more playing time up to now but not shocked with the Moose lineup. Very confident with the puck. He will be a great asset going into the playoff run. IMO he could step into the 2nd/3rd line if someone were to get injured...heaven forbid.

Wow, looks like they're not having any trouble finding the offense tonight without Nate and Jo.

I have to give Beauchemin credit, I thought he was just another Côté but he's really shown well since getting a chance to show what he's got.

Absolutely insane what Halifax is doing without MacKinnon, Drouin, Frk and Abeltshauser right now.

Wow are new first line is ripping it tonight! Amazing the run this team is having especially of late with everyone stepping up in the absence of our stars.

Pretty good when a guy who is looked to for secondary scoring is actually leading your team in goals.

Took every point we could from this 3-in-3, wow...

Seems like there was a little bit of a mental lapse in the 3rd, but it's something I can live with. Ashley's been taking a lot more draws lately, so that gives us Andrews, Ashley, and Cuzner up the middle for now. Pretty good.

Love it. Playing well for a month without all those top players will pay off come playoff time.

Hey guys, I'm trying to find some accurate scouting information on Marty Frk but I'm having trouble finding anything. I was wondering if you guys could help me out? What are his pros and cons? What is he projected to become? I would really appreciate any insight, thanks guys!

P.S. Halifax's home jersey's are sweet

Pros:

- Already has an NHL Caliber shot. One of, if not the hardest slap shot in the Q

- Great hands. Can stick handle very well, even at full speed

- Has an edge. Is definitely not the soft breed

- Was one of the highest scorers in the NHL combine last year for fitness

Cons:

- Penalties. Bad, Awful, horrible penalties. He takes that "edge" too far. He'd be the type that would slash or punch someone as they were heading to the penalty box, and cause an even up of the penalties. He'd also take those types of penalties "Down a goal with 2 minutes left in the game". Doesn't seem to be learning from his past mistakes.

- Not really a "Con", but he's had one serious concussion already in his career.

If the Detroit organization can work some magic and put him in the right mindset, and somehow teach him to play with an edge, while not taking pointless penalties, we could see him in the NHL some day. I believe he'll spend a few seasons in Grand Rapids.

Ducharme just tweeted:

@BradCuzner53 thanks for those 4 games!! Great to see you wear the Mooseheads jersey again! #greatcompetitor

Does this mean that KA is ready to return? Haven't heard anything yet.

Rumour at the rink of O'Brien to Halifax.

Abeltshauser should be back for the game in Cape Breton on the 28th.

While his numbers are great.. not sure where he would fit in on this team or who of Frk, Fournier or Ashley he replaces. This would also mean the end of Gillard.

He's one guy they're looking at. They have Tesink, Danault, and O'Brien in mind but they won't give the same effort to get O'Brien as they would for Tesink or Danault. Apparently there's an offer on the table for Tesink because they want to get him quickly. I'm unsure of what the deal is though.

They were looking at him and it is LGM who declined to trade him, not the other way around....they made a firm offer.

With Gagne off the market, I take it the Moose will go with their current D crop.. Is Durepos any better then Gillard ?

No, IMO. Gillard is very good at his job, and to ship him out at this point is not going to happen. Cam will remain, and rightfully so, loyal to his vets.

Not what we need... Cam obviously isn't showing all his cards, but said that he wants grit, and heart players, not a one-dimensional top line player...

Feels like we're beating a dead horse here, but O'Brien is way too soft for my liking of a "playoff player"... And to get rid of Gillard in that process is another negative to an O'Brien deal too.

Drouin showing why he was selected to this team! What sweet hands to finish that breakaway to tie the game at 1.

Okay, do you see any moves coming ?

Even with what QC has done so far I still have it like this:

Halifax
BLB

QC
Moncton

And then it's somewhat interchangeable...

Where's Rimouski in that... 2nd in the league going into the break and picked up the top D available, even if the crop is thin on the backend this season....

Other than that there's been very little change to any team... Banville is a small pick-up for BC, but mor big pieces dealt will make it easier to see where each team is...

If we're ranking teams, on this day...

Halifax

BLB
Rimouski
Quebec

Moncton
BC

Drummondville
Rouyn
PEI
