#22: Philadelphia on the clock

Sorry for posting another draft thread but I'm doing a board to board mock draft. I will keep the results updated in the mock draft board. I can't outlaw "outsider" votes, but that's okay as long as the vote is based on some informed opinion of the player's talent and organizational needs. No sabotage please! Make your selection with the Flyers interest at heart. Tiebreakers will go into OT for one extra day.

*IMPORTANT* By this stage in the draft there are more realistic possibilities than polling options. I realize some people might take exception w/ some of the players I have included or left out of the poll. You can cast a vote for a player that isn't listed. You must select "other" in the poll, then write in "other: (player's name)" in this thread. Voting will end Monday at 6pm eastern.

Make your selection for the #22 pick (ignore trade possibilities). If there isn't a good fit and you want to trade, draft for value. The Flyers are now on the clock. Good luck!

I voted for Vishnevsky. I would love for the draft to actually go this way.

I also picked vishnevsky, but I think the flyers will try to move up.

Cory Emmerton

I come from western canada, but its obvious the bulk of our young talented forwards come from Ontario. The scouts for that region are on the ball and must have some influence.

Mike Richards,Steve Downey,Jeff Carter and the departed sensational Justin Williams.

I just think there's too many problems with players coming over from Russia without an official IIHF agreement in place.
Not that Vishnevski would cause as much of an uproar as Ovechkin or Malkin, but it's just an added headache of getting the player over here... Clarkie's not a fan of headaches.

Vishnevski is a CHL player if I'm not mistaken, so he's already over.

He's technically already "here." He played a season in the QMJHL for the Huskies.

I voted for Summers.

Vishnevsky is ok...VERY soft, plays scared, doesnt hit...but the guy has all-world skills.

I'm thinking it'll be someone like Mark Mitera or Brian Strait. Someone already said it about Ivan Vishnevsky in that he's too soft. Don't get me wrong, I like really skilled players, but if he goes down quicker than Paris Hilton when traffic approaches, then thanks but no thanks. He plays a position where he's going to have to take some bumps. While Mitera or Strait may not have the pure skill that Vishnevsky has, they are both solid players that can contribute.
