Would love to see Wikstrand take some one-timers instead of passing it off continously
Also agreed, as a Mora fan, I often see Wikstrand either passing, or controlling the puck for a silent shot, has worked out okay, but one-timers is a rare thing from Wikstrand thus far, unfortunately. Hopefully a subject to be changed in future.
Posted a highlight of him scoring on a shootout against Djurgardens recently.
Same move as above, but executed better.
If the last two games are a proper representation of his play, anyone think you could put him in the top 20 of last years draft? I honestly don't think it's crazy, IF these last two games are an accurate depiction of his game.
And I saw him take multiple one timers in the first game...meaning he's capable of it. Also saw several touch passes which is a deadly combo with the ability to one time as well. Kid makes quick decisions on the blue line it appears pretty evident.
I'm re-watching it right now and #9 appears to be called Vikstrom.
GORD MILLER FAIL!!
I think he was just trying to go for the "native" pronunciation. It's true that many areas of Scandinavia drop the "d", though more in Norway and Denmark than Sweden...

Swedens top Dman (Hampus Lindholm) seems to have caught a injury and might be out for the tournament, that means Wikstrand will probably get the most icetime in the entire Swedeteam.

He has been playing phenomenal hockey in Sweden as well tying OEL's record already for most goals and outscoring a top 10 pick Swedish forward from last year. We're just excited by the amazing development of a 7th rounder from last year. No one is calling him Bobby Orr.... That's Karlsson
Wikstrand is their best defender easily. He is so well poised out there; his positional hockey is outstanding, probably his best trait. Can dart out passes very accurately and join the rush when need be yet you'd find him first defender back in case the other team poses a threat to counter. On the first PP and first PK.
Unbelievable how we got him in the 7th round, if you told me this guy was a first round pick I'd believe you.
P.S. Elias Lindholm is amazing, WOW.
Off to bed, longggggg night/morning, haha. Hopefully someone can recap the 2nd and 3rds for me!
