Palmieri.

He had a breakaway, beat the goalie and slid the puck right across the crease.

Fastest goal to start a period in Norfolk Admirals history.

2nd one was the quickest goal scored in a period in Admirals history as well, beautiful one too. Amazing comeback!

EDIT: Too slow on that one.

DuckJet: The reason why it was so quiet is that the team was playing desperate, ugly hockey and then Etem just stole the game.

Bobkov was named second star of the game for the second consecutive night. Both of our goalies have been significantly better since Pete Peeters paid them a visit.

Edit: He's also back over .900 sv percentage, with .903 after tonight.

Speaking of goalies, is there any word on when Andersen will be back?

I haven't read anything; still just the indefinite day-to-day. I'm beginning to think concussion.

Were they really playing poorly? I didn't watch the game, but from just the highlights, it looked like the could have easily had 4-5 goals, and just couldn't finish.

Also from the highlights, that's how I want to see Vatanen playing all the time, he had a few great rushes, made that nifty move to get into a shooting position in the offensive zone and was all around just making confident plays. He did get beat on Albany's goal though, but like I said, offensively he looked great in the highlights.

From the highlights it looks like Vatanen has been stepping it up lately. And that OT goal by Etem? Yeah Cogliano isn't gonna score many of those

Yes, they were. Our power play is a mess, and the team just looks desperate and anxious in the offensive zone at even strength. The team chips it in, and sees it leave on a turnover/clear. A team with this much talent on it shouldn't look like that.

Looks like Etems play has grown a lot over the last few months.

Looking forward to see Etem, Holland, Palmieri, Lindholm, Vatanen, Rakell++ in a Ducks-jersey next season.

I think we'll be lucky to see 4 of them in the uniform.

EDIT: Or they'd be lucky.

Agreed, I think we'll see 3-4 of them regularly but not all of those guys.

Etem has come a long way recently but he's very streaky and has a long way to go still before he's scoring goals at the NHL level.

Yeah. His progress is a big relief. Though I should've guessed that he'd have growing pains. I really think that Emerson just needs time to adjust to whatever team he's on. He never had time with his WJC team. It took him a while in Medicine Hat and now he's starting to get comfortable with Norfolk. I think if Etem got a call up he would take a while to get comfortable and eventually be sent down. Or I could be totally wrong and we don't have to wait another two years.
