we will have a season. relax. one good meeting and this whole thread will be predicting stanley cup winners. once they get back to the table, i think they will be able to reach a deal.
Only if Bettman or Fehr get overthrown, like the Republicans want to do to Boehner now lol...it may have to come to that to get a deal done.
Except for the business of hockey board kool-aid drinkers who believe he has nothing to do with the lockout
Speaking about his personal opinion, no he doesn't have much to do with it. I think he'd be fine with making a deal and saving the season if it were up to him alone. But he is the owners' willing mouthpiece because his job rides on that, and in that regard, yes, he does have everything to do with why the lockout is continuing.

having him and fehr at the same time does not help. i agree, one or the other wouldn't be as bad, but the combination is just asking for seasons to be cancelled.
Unfortunately, the union brought forth Beetlejuice and we are being crapped on until the drop dead date. Unless Beetlejuice ignores that too then it will be obvious his goal was the cap and he spent the entire season to set up for it. It'll cost the NHL their league if this conspiracy theory holds.

He'd better be well paid to wear that grey helmet with some yellow ad on it. Holy crap how ugly.
That`s nothing. This is how they "reward" the best player of the week/month (iirc).
Poor Laich. That`s almost like a presentation of a bad Pimp My Ride clone.
Speaking of Switzerland. Don`t forget that tomorrow starts not only the WJC tournament but also the Sprengler Cup. It`s going to be loaded with NHL talent this year (well, at least compared to any other year, right).

Some games will be aired on TSN2 as Team Canada plays in it.
That should be given as punishment to the worst player of the week
Speaking about helmets, when I was in Vaxjo, I lost my Bauer helmet (it wasn't one of the fancy models, but anyway) and the equipment guy handed this helmet to me:
Selanne still wears that thing I believe. That`s pretty cool.
Just reminds me how big of a boss Jagr is.
Btw. his facebook page is a beauty. He`s got such a great personality. Wish you could read it in English.
Jagr is boss, also because he uses Combat sticks. There is not a better stick, I got the Pure for 97 bucks on a black Friday sale and it's unreal. Otherwise I use the Cal52, so light. Everywhere I go, someone tries it and wants to get one.

I think you pretty much summed up my thoughts pretty good.

The captain of my hometown junior team uses one too. There has to be something about it. I`ll look into it, thank you for the recommendation.
Jagr does seem to have a fun personality, and unlike some players, he's never pretended to be anything but a mercenary. You have to respect that in a way. Jagr makes no secret that he's looking for the paycheck, and nobody can or does hold it against him.

I totally did a 180 on Jagr after a year with the Flyers. After as much as I never liked him because he was a Penguin most of his career, you couldn't help but appreciate the guy for his personality. I wish he was still a Flyer, honestly, but the Flyers were never going to offer him the money Dallas did.
Also, normally when I sleep I rarely dream (that sounded more emo than I wanted it to) or at least I don't remember anything. But last night I know I had a dream where the Players/Owners agreed to sign a "1 year CBA" to get the season going and get back to it in the offseason. And I was at the first Flyers home game "this season." Then I woke up. ****.
