Ehh, when I play (5 minute periods) I average about 30 shots, while the AI usually fires around 15-25

My current line-up:

I. Kovalchuk [20gp, 14g+10a] (90) - J. Thornton [20gp, 12g+17a] (88) - P. Kane [20gp, 12g+11a] (86)
T. Vanek** [20gp, 2g+7a=9] (84) - R. Linkonen* [20gp, 5g+10] (84) - M. Havlat [20gp, 14g+7a] (85)
M. Raymond [21gp, 8g+0a] (80) - B. Marchand [21gp, 5g+4a] (83) - C. Clutterbuck [18gp, 3g+4a] (79)
M. Cooke [20gp, 1g+1a] (79) - M. Malhotra [20gp, 1g+3a] (78) - M. Bradley [20gp, 0g+1a] (74)

R. Josi [8gp, 3g+6a] (73) - S. Robidas [20gp, 1g+5a] (82)
C. Ehrhoff [20gp, 9g+11a] (83) - J. Wisniewski [20gp, 6g+12a] (83)
R. Wilson [20gp, 3g+3a] (76) - A. Emelin [20gp, 1g+4a] (74)

M. Fleury (87)
J. Giguere (76)

IR: D. Seidenberg [4gp, 0g+3a] (84), N. Prosser [8gp, 0g+4a] (74)

Seidenberg got injured really early in the season, then i replaced him with an AHL call up Prosser, who got injured too. Then i replaced him with Josi who has been beasting it up so far, i'm thinking of trading Seidenberg away and keeping Josi if he keeps up beasting like that.

Also, my current record is 15-3-2

*Linkonen is a custom 18 year old playmaking center i made, he's not anything special, he's good/decent in all areas and isn't any special in any area, just a good two-way center. Although he has good potential.

**Vanek has been really under performing for me, should i trade him away for another top 6 winger, or keep him?

I don't know what the deal is, after playing HUT I thought it'd be a challenge but superstar in dynasty mode seems miles easier. If I'm not hitting double digits in goals I played like garbage. Need to figure out how to even it out, not fun when there is no chance of losing.

You need a playmaker on his line for him to do well. I also find he tends to sim poorly in the first season of all my GMs and then bounce back in 13-14. Don't know why, but I've done 4 GM modes, and that happened in 3 of them.

Linkonen is a playmaker, and i propably should have mentioned that i'm playing all the games myself. So basically he doesn't really "fit" there.

Nathan Gerbe + 2nd for Drouin (not sure why teams often put recent draft picks on the block in this game, but whatever). Gerbe topped out at 84. Drouin after one season, where he played on my 3rd line and put up ~35 points, is already an 85 and has better ratings in everything but skating. He's now centering my top line and leads my team in assists and points. I've got a real good 1-2 punch with Hodgson at 84 overall now too. If only Buffalo's centers could be so good IRL.

Well, this year has been much better. We have had streaks of loosing but we have picked up our play here in and after the all star break. We have currently picked up points in all are last 10 games, we're 7-0-3 in our last 10. We sit in 5th in the East with a record of 25-17-7(25-24). We're tied with 57 points though, with Washington and the Islanders. Also Buffalo is in 8th with 56 points and Phlly in 9th with 55 points. But with that we're 7 points back for the 1st seeded Tampa Bay Lightning. It is a very tight race. I'm hoping we can keep on this streak. Lundy has played solid as always, his stats look like: 20-14, with a GAA of 2.35 and a SV% of .921.

Meanwhile down in the AHL, our Bingo Sens started off terrible going 0-8 or so but we picked it up and our #1 forward Mark Scheifele has been on a tear. He is 2nd in goals with 25, and 2nd in points with 57. We're currently tied in 8th in the Western Conference.

More to come.

Well, year 2 with my Ottawa Senators Fantasy Draft Dynasty is in the books. And I have to say it was a good year. We finished 2nd in the Eastern Conference with 100PTS(1 point behind the leader). We also had a 3rd round exit VS. the San Jose Sharks. Corey Perry with the GWG in double O.T. in game 7. Big bummer, lol. Alex Galchenyuk, Big Joe and Huberdeau were unstopabble for most of the year. I myself would've thought Huberdeau would've been the stud outta the 2(Huberdeau and Galchenyuk) but Gally surprised me. Even though I knew he had the potentional(literally). Gally finished with 73 PTS in 82 games and won the Calder. Big Joe finished with 70 and Hubey just behind him. Galchenyuk boosted like crazy, all the way from 83 to 88 overall! He also still has his 41/2 green stars, he is forsure going to be a beast and a future Captain for me. Also, Murray and Rielly jumped high enough to make it on my top 6 for defenceman. Murray is now an 82 and Rielly is an 84. Also Mark Scheifele jumped from an 81 to an 86 so he will make it into my top 6 now. I finished with the 29th pick in this years draft and ended up snagging Josh Ho-Sang(**** gold star potential) so that isn't to bad. Here's the INS and OUTS of this years off-season:

INS:

Girardi
Ho-Sang
J. Lilja(3 star pot. but seen him get good)
Manny Malholtra
Maxime Lappiere

Outs:

Z. Michalek
Liles
Auld
Morris
Comeau

Yes, Michalek and Liles are out. I traded them both for Girardi. I needed to let Liles go as I had to many Offensive Defenceman and Michalek dropped again, this time to an 84. Oscar Dansk moved up to a 77(with **** gold star pot.) so I let Auld go and will have Dansk as a back-up. Here's how my roster will look for the 3rd year of this GM and 2015-16:

Galchenyuk(88OVR|A) - "Big Joe" Thorton(88OVR|C) - Huberdeau(86OVR)
Heatley(85OVR) - Scheifele(86OVR) - Havlat(84OVR)
Ribeiro(82OVR) - Fisher(80OVR) - Hemsky(82OVR)
Lapierre(76OVR) - Malholtra(77OVR) - Moar(78OVR)

Rielly(84OVR) - Hainsey(86OVR|A)
Carle(86OVR) - Murray(82OVR)
Streit(84OVR) - Girardi(85OVR)

Lundqvist(91OVR) - Dansk(77OVR)

Huberdeau and Hainsey jumped to 86 OVR's, and Fisher dropped to 80 OVR. Moar is a young rookie grinder with awesome Defensive stats. I also have had Rielly and Murray in previous GM modes and have paired them together at the overalls they're at now and they did good so I will be switching my D up once in a while. Overall I'm very happy with the way my team is looking right now. I am hoping we can win the cup this year. Anything other than a Stanley Cup apperance is a dissapointment TBH.

Cheers mates!

The waiver list is crap. In what scenario would you send 28-year-old Crosby down to the minors?

Career-ending concussion and he refuses to retire, so you place him on waivers hoping someone else will pay the remainder of his uninsured contract?

http://tracking.si.com/2012/06/30/si...nsured-injury/

Of course, that's obviously not the case in the game The waiver logic is just horrendous

In my Columbus GM Drouin is playing for Nashville and in the 16/17 season he won the Art Ross, Maurice Richard, Hart, and Lady Byng.

He also won a Lady Byng the previous season and the Calder in his rookie year

Though injury-riddled, Stars prevail sitting at 5th in the West
December 1, 2012

Jamie Benn after scoring a recent goal against the Nashville Predators in a 4-1 win

These last two months have been up-and-down for the Stars. Within the first two weeks, the team lost two of its star players, Kari Lehtonen and Derek Roy. Luckily, the injuries only lasted for a week each and the team seemed not to falter because of some of the minor-leaguers stepping up like Scott Glennie and Maxime Fortunus. "Yeah, I'm really happy with the teams play this year," said head coach Glen Gulutzan, "We really have had a better production offensively this year compared to last year. Our AHL team and us both play a similar game which is why our minor league guys can fit in the NHL really quickly." He went on to say how once again Richard Bachman has stepped up when the team lost Lehtonen.

Continuing with offensive production, one guy on the roster having a particularly good year is Jamie Benn. He currently ranks 7th in the league in goals with 11 and leads the Stars in points with 19, while Loui Eriksson is close behind with 16. Defensively, the team is doing well with the 2nd best penalty-kill percentage with 91.9%.

The team has recently has had a lot of returning faces to the line-up. But recently the team lost a key player. Captain Brendan Morrow was injuried in a game two days ago against the Edmonton Oilers. We got a chance to talk to line-mate Milan Hejduk who saw the hit happen, "Brendan [Morrow] was going in for the puck off a dump and was speeding past Ryan [Whitney] but he didn't see behind him Shawn [Horcoff] coming at him full speed. SHawn checked him into the boards and all I saw was Brendan laying on the ice in pain." It turned out Brendan broke his wrist and was taken off the ice and out of the game. The team doctor told us they can't be sure how long he will be out but they say it might be soon if they identify the bone to only be slightly broken.

Tonight the Stars will be facing the Pittsburgh Penguins who are sitting 1st in the East and it will be and interesting and most likely physical showdown. Here is the lineup for tonight's game against Pittsburgh:

Loui Erikkson "A" - Jamie Benn "A" - Jaromir Jagr
Ray Whitney - Derek Roy - Michael Ryder
Cody Eakin - Vernon Fiddler - Milan Hejduk
Erik Nystrom - Travis Morin - Radek Dvorak

Alex Goligoski "A" - Stephane Robidas
Trevor Daley - Philip Larsen
Aaron Rome - Paul Ranger

Kari Lehtonen
Richard Bachman

Did something a bit different. Used the newest file and started a BAGM league with my Penguins. I started at the draft and used last years draft order. I was then able to move my 1-3 round picks and some lower tier prospects to I believe it was Minnesota to pick up their first in the next draft. During the UFA process i was offered Iginla for a 3rd, Zloben and another 3 star prospect. I love this file because all of the Penguins big prospects are in the game.

For Free Agent signing i added some veteran AHL guys like Martin St. Pierre, Nic Zherdev, Enver Lisin, Corey Locke, etc to help out the kids. I also picked up Kassian in the deal with Minnesota and let go of Craig Adams so my lines look like this going into the season:

Dupuis - Crosby - Iginla
Kunitiz - Malkin - Neal
Cooke - Sutter - Kennedy
Glass - Vitale - Kassian

Orpik - Letang
Niiskanen - Martin
Engelland - Lovejoy

Fleury
Vokoun

In the AHL: I have guys like Tangradi, Beau Bennett, Despres, Strait who could be called up. Young guys developing are Samuelsson, Morrow. I did move Bortuzzo but signed Brock Beukeboom out of the FAP.

Prospects in the system:
Simon Despres (AHL): 4 Star Yellow
Beau Bennett (AHL): 4 Star Yellow
Eric Tangradi (AHL): 3 Star Yellow
Brian Dumoldoin (AHL): 3 1/2 Star Yellow i believe
Joe Morrow (AHL): 4 Star Yellow
Olli Maata (Juniors): 4 Star Yellow
Derrick Pouliot (Juniors): 4 1/2 Stars Yellow
Scott Harrington (Juniors): 4 Stares Yellow

I'm at the All-Star game in the 2012-13 Season of my Fantasy Draft Be A GM:
So far I am 23-19-4 despite being littered with injuries throughout the season(Ovechkin, Spezza, Bieksa, Alfredsson, Wideman...) We're just clinging on to the 8th Playoff spot, but things are looking up because Spezza, Alfie, and Bieksa are all back from injury
Here's Ottawa's roster(I had the 2nd pick in the Fantasy draft)
Offense:
Ovechkin-Spezza-Hossa
Paajarvi-RNH-Alfredsson
Sobotka-Gomez-Versteeg
Gerbe-Boyle-Etem
Defense:
Erhoff-Bieksa
Wideman-Boychuk
Montador-Ellis
Goalies:
Nabokov
J. Gibson
AMAZINGLY, Ovechkin leads the league in PTS(54) and GOALS(28) despite missing 10 games due to injury.

Tried out what I could do with the Wild. Top lines now
Parise - Koivu - Heatley
Granlund - Zajac - Setoguchi
Turns out the difference between Bouchard and Zajac is a 2,5* AHL healthy scratch with basically no trade value. Also dumped Cullen to free up cap space.

I'm enjoying the game but the point totals are kind of unrealistic:

Crosby lead the league in goals with 48 (with one game to play; the next closest is Malkin with 36) and points with 90 (H. Sedin and B. Richards, both with one game to play, are tied for second with 77).
