Klefbom, Brodin, Pettersson and counting. Our defence sucks, and our goalies are way worse than the last few years.

Our forwards too.

Might be the worst Swedish team in the last 8-10 years?
The depth among our forwards are great this year. I dont think our goalies are bad either... our D is suffering a bit from injuries for sure though.. Still decent but not great D.

The team played terrible for most of the game, still they somehow kept it tight. The D looked completely paralyzed in the first period E.Lindholm has to play on the first PP unit in a playmaking position, keeping him as the screen on the 2nd PP is just a big waste. Forsberg, Rakell and Arvidsson can't miss all those chances, they create a lot but that's worth nothing if they can't finish. Boyce has also been a very weak link on his line both games.

On the positive side, I thought Wennberg and De La Rose played pretty well. E.Lindholm was great the little he played. Goaltending looks great as well. The ice will also be a bit bigger in Ufa, that could be an advantage but I'm not sure.

I'd like to see:
Forsberg-Karlsson-Rakell
Wennberg-Lindholm-Collberg
Arvidsson-Rask-Sörensen
de la Rose-Boyce-Molin
Sandberg

D pairs same as exhibition, Lassinantti in goal.

Quite a few non-Swedish names on this team.

How has Tom Nilsson looked? Unfortunately I've been working a lot and haven't been able to catch any of the Sweden games so far (outside of a period or two).

Quite a few, as in two? I'd guess we could add Sörensens danish spelling to the list and make it three.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. Sweden has a relatively homogenous population, while North America's populations is largely made up of immigrants from all over the world. It was a valid observation, why get so offended over nothing?

I think he is, and why shouldn't he be? Evidently there's an enormous disparity between and Canadian and Swedish definition of "exhibition" or "friendlies".

This is the third year in a row where a Swedish player gets injured in a pre-tournament game against Canada. One could argue theres a pattern there and the Swedish team shouldn't willingly put themselves in situations that provides unnecessary risks to the players.

Edit: not implying Canadian team injures people on purpose... Okey, except for Patrice Cormier, that was malicious.

It was sad seeing Pettersson go out injured like that, but he was actually pretty horrible in the game against Canada. He would have been my cut anyway.

- say what? you probably have not visited stockholm, malmö - in fact sweden has definitely been top level in Europe when it comes to immigration during the last 60 years... (but 95% of these immigrants will never be involved in ice hockey, that's true)

Yah, take a look at Sweden's National team in soccer or the U21 team. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden_...ecent_call-ups Those kids just don't play hockey. Yet.

Knitting isn't a sport. Not that it matter, you seem utterly incapable of comprehending what I'm writing. Orcs gon' orc I guess.

So could people stop talking about immigrants and not bicker about the hit on Pettersson? Really not interesting. K thx.

Wennberg should play on one of the top lines since he actually can control the puck and make accurate passes. Unlike Collberg who could run-and-gun together with Sörensen and Rask on the third line. How can you ever sustain offensive pressure when a player either misses passes or tries to make one on one moves as often as Collberg?

I would have never thought that Djuse and Djoos are Swedish names.
BTW the best players for both USA and Finland are Russians. Barkov and Galchenyuk fathers used to play against each other for years at the Soviet, then Russian championships.
