Why randomly assemble 3 assets which have substantial value to the Leafs? None of these guys should be up for auction, or at least, neither of the first 2.
Wouldn't it make more sense to actually target a player who can address a need on the Leafs, and then ask what it would take to get them?

That would have to be for a pretty decent upgrade at center, but I don't know how many teams would be looking to ship out a center of that caliber. I wonder how Sharks fans would feel about one of Couture or Thornton for that package.
The point is... there's no sense in arbitrarily packaging players together like this to get some undetermined player. The teams that are going to be interested in Grabovski are going to be different than those interested in Gardiner, and different from those interested in Frattin... and you're not even talking about trying to improve the team you supposedly support.
With the exception of PMDs (which I'm sure everyone knows we have a surplus of anyways), the rest would only be offered in troll proposals.
Again, what's the point of arbitrarily packaging these players together?
Do you want to see the Leafs trade these guys for the sake of doing so? Do you want to see them get less than maximum value if they're simply trading for the sake of trading?
The idea around getting better isn't to trade away players. It's to trade for the purpose of acquiring others.

Your Leafs homerism is really annoying.
Here are the facts right now:
1) The Leafs are a terrible team. We have no elite talent aside from Kessel and potentially Rielly
2) Things need to be shaken up to improve all of our positions. Another elite winger, #1 centre, a #1 goaltender...
3) You need to trade valuable players to get valuable players. No, you can't just offer Gunner for Backes like you laughably did in the other topic

The Leafs main needs are a #1 center, starting goalie, and a defensive defensemen certainly wouldn't hurt. The Leafs do not need another elite winger, Lupul/Kessel was the best duo in the entire NHL before Lupul went down, and the Leafs have plenty of wingers (JVR, Kulemin, Macarthur, Kadri, Frattin will all probably be fighting for spots on the wing on the 2nd line). Realistically, if the Leafs are trading Grabovski it has to be for an upgrade at center. The Leafs simply cannot roll with Bozak-Connolly/Lombardi/McClement as their top 6 centers. Even if Kadri is ready to play in the NHL as a center, I wouldn't want to trade Grabovski unless it was for an upgrade down the middle.

Homerism??
I'm simply questioning why you're arbitrarily packaging 3 of the Leafs players together, 2 of which are extremely important, without actually seeking a return.
If you're just looking to trade players away, presumably you're interested in seeing the Leafs lose more hockey games. If so, why not package Kessel, Phaneuf, and Lupul as well, as they'll be gone before we have a chance at winning anyways.
I answered the question of what it would take the Blues to get Gunnarsson, and Backes would accomplish that. Is St. Louis going to do that? no... simply an answer to the question of what St. Louis has that could get Gunnarsson.
I'm bored and thinking about blockbusters. What would other teams give up for this package?
They'd never be packaged together.
Maybe a package including one of Grabovski or Frattin plus a prospect and a pick could net you a top center. The only way a deal gets done is something like the Stewart+Shattenkirk for Johnson+McClemment deal.
I could see the Leafs swapping Frattin for an equally talented centerman but other than that, I doubt those three guys will perfectly fill a need of one team, and at the same time, the team has pieces they would be willing to part with equate to the value of those three players.
