Ryback gets involved in the main event and the Rock wins the title from Punk.
Bourne, MVP, Langston, and Lesnar will be the surprise entrants. Lesnar will get involved in the main event as well, and destroy Ryback on the ramp after he costs Punk the title.
Cena wins the Rumble to get a title shot at WM29. Punk demands his rematch against the Rock, but to keep his cry baby heel persona alive and well it's announced that Punk's rematch will be held at WM29 vs Cena and whomever the champ is at the time...which of course will be the Rock.
EDIT: Face Mark Henry returns as well, and is put into a program with Big Show, culminating in a WHC title match at WM29. Big Show retains, Dolph cashes in and turns face.
- I definitely think Creative is saving Bourne's comeback for the Rumble. I don't think we will see Lesnar, but we will see Taker I hope.
- I actually really agree with those who want to see ziggler cash in at the big show (WM). I think the crowd would be begging for it and it could be his night to "steal the show". I just sure as hell hope it's not Henry/Show at WM.
- Sheamus has to move on at this PPV. He's in Alberto Del Rio terriroty for me. He keeps getting shots and I keep getting bored. Wouldn't mind seeing him start a feud with someone at the Rumble. Barrett would be my choice.
- I know talent is weak, but I wouldn't mind seeing the return of the 40 man rumble.
Vince McMahon has brought up the idea of pushing Ryback even harder as the new babyface of SmackDown. This would include a lengthy run with the World Heavyweight Title. Nothing is confirmed yet but the talk included Ryback dominating the Rumble match, beginning a feud with Orton and then facing him at WrestleMania.
I found the article and it was dated December 20th so not a few weeks ago unless I was thinking of a different one. It talks about Wrestlemania plans being changed.
On a related note, there has at least been talk that Sheamus going down with two clean losses to Big Show will set up him to win the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row. As noted before, Randy Orton vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title has been planned for WrestleMania 29.
