To sound different. Minus 1998, it would be something like 20 years in a row. I just don't see it but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

When it's something like 19 out of 20 years, it definitely means something. This isn't the first year where other teams are suddenly good that Canada shouldn't be considered a favourite to medal.

It's a free pool with no downside for losing or upside for winning. People are picking with their hearts and their heads, leaning more to their hearts.

Canada going to be hard pressed to win over there with role players being guys that are not good at it,Add to that lots penalties be coming at them i bet,I have to go with Russia on home ice.If Sweden had all their guns they would have won going away i think.USA will be killing penalties to alot so not for them either,Finland is the sleeper,

yes, it's possible given the way the bracket works. Canada/Russia would have to make up the top 2 in their group and the US would have to be #3.

you can see the bracket here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Wo..._Championships

Going to go with Canada, Russia, U.S.

Had to look up the brackets and such to make a prediction that seems a strong possibility. They finish in this order in their pool, U.S and Russia win in the quarters, Canada takes out U.S. in the semis and Russia in the finals.

Wishful thinking of course, but it's possible bracket-wise, which is all I wanted

Lots of different ways it could go with Finland and Sweden being as good as they are, USA with some offensive firepower, and the defense to go with it, and Russia being the home team.

1.) Canada
2.) Russia
3.) Finland

This is how it's going to happen

Group B - CAN beats RUS quite easily, but USA beats CAN in a very tight game - USA wins Group B.

To get into the Semifinals, CAN as the Group B runner-up needs to beat the third place team from group A, but CAN loses that game in a SO... (vs FIN/SWE/CZE).

Canada, Finland and Russia are my 3 picks to medal. Not sure on the order though. It really depends on who gets the QF byes on each side.

Canada gets to first seed in group ahead of Russia and USA based on talent, avoids Finland until final, then gets done in by their goaltending.
