Crosby and co's would score $20 million per year contracts, some grinders would have to take $50-$100000 contracts or go to KHL.

From what I understand, the players have until Jan 2nd to vote to decertify the union. What would the consequences be if it happened?

that sucks that bergenheim is injured, i can deal with matthias because kopecky can slot into the 3rd line center if necessary, or even bring up drew shore. also, when is guds expected to start playing with the rampage (man, really wish he was healthy and was playing there all season long). and sounds like kulikov is healthy again. i have the lineup as:

Fleischmann-Weiss-Versteeg
Huberdeau-Goc-Mueller
Bergenheim-Matthias-Upshall
Kopecky-Smithson-Parros

Campbell-Gudbranson
Kulikov-Kuba
Jovanovski-Weaver

thats if everyone was healthy of course (and huberdeau could very well start off on the 3rd line w/ bergy on the 2nd, staying w/ goc, but then eventually working his way into the 2nd line). so matthias out sucks but we can slot kopecky there (want to keep hubs at the wing and same w/ mueller) to center the 3rd or bring up shore, thats more of an easy fix. but if bergenheim is going to be injured for a while that one sucks more. this is all depending on if theres even a season or not :/ i still think theyll get something done. if not, we better end up w/ a top 4 pick haha

IMO, swap Kopecky and Matthias.

I think it's safe to say that Kuba was brought in to replace G52, and that Guds isn't ready yet for that kind of a role and responsibility.

Campbell - Kuba
Gudbranson - Jovanovski
Kulikov - Weaver

Huber needs top6 minutes to develop and to be productive. His talents are wasted in the bottom6, might as well send him back to juniors/AHL then.

Basically, it means then the players can file anti-trust lawsuits against the owners. But the league has already filed a lawsuit against the players if they do decertify. So essentially this becomes a court battle.

In reality, last yr when the NFL and NBA unions decertified it basically led to the end of their labor issues within 2 weeks. The players believe if they decertify now and with how close they believe they are to a deal, it just leads to a resolution of a new CBA quickly. I agree with them and think that could get us back to playing in time to save a season.

I read somewhere about a nightmare scenario where all players end up free agents, is that something related to the decertification? Is it even remotely possible?

Thats a possibility since that is exactly whats in the league's lawsuit if the players decertify. Is that going to happen? I doubt it because it would take too long for the league to win that battle. See my post above on the 17th of this month for why its possible if the league won their lawsuit.

This is quite true. I hope Dale handles that ASAP whenever we start up again. It actually has me a little concerned. Just a little though, considering Dale didn't draft him and he's not North American. I'm not saying Dale is not going to try hard to re-sign him, but he might try a little harder if Kulikov was North American and/or drafted by Dale.

I can´t believe they´re stupid enough to cancel whole season. My bet is 48 games season.

Marcel Goc got injured agarin during the Spengler Cup two days ago.
Partially torn ligament in his knee, will need 3 to 4 weeks to recover.
