Who are your top 15 prospects?

After reading the Hockey's Future and Craig Button's Prospect Rankings, I decided to make my own Top 15 prospects based on upside and potential.

1. Evgeny Kuznetsov
2. Vladimir Tarasenko
3. Nail Yakupov
4. Alex Galchenyuk
5. Justin Schultz
6. Morgan Rielly
7. Jonathan Huberdeau
8. Dougie Hamilton
9. Mikael Granlund
10. Ryan Strome
11. Sven Baerschi
12. Ryan Murray
13. Mikhail Grigorenko
14. Mark Scheifele
15. Mika Zibanejad

What are your top 15?

Thanks. I like Strome and I think he has great offensive tools and a ton of potential. Whether or not he makes it work in the NHL is a different question. Where would you put him?

I wish Kuznetsov would come over too. i cant wait to see him play with Ovie and Backstrom.

Your list is similar to mine.

I was considering Klefbom and Zibanejad for the 15th spot but decided to go with Zibanejad. And no love for Galchenyuk? He is 6th and 8th on the 2 lists I read.

I am not too high on Huberdeau. Being from Montreal, I see QMJHL games and he is good but not overly impressive. Galchenyuk is really complete and skilled.(Not just because he is drafted by Montreal.)

I see Rielly's potential higher than Hamilton's although Hamilton has size on his side. it was very close.

Maybe I should have switched Granlund and Scheifele but it is just so even.

i would put him a little lower behind a guy like huberdeau. roughly my list would be something like this:
1. kuznetsov
2. yakupov
3. tarasenko
4. galchenyuk
5. hamilton(may be a bit high cause of my bias but i do see alot of tools in him)
6. rielly
7. huberdeau
8. schultz
9. murray
10. grandlund
11. strome
12. grigorenko
13. schiefele
14. klefbom
15. brodin

that would be the rough one off the top of my head. im sure i missed someone
EDIT: very similar to the players everyone else got. just some mixing with the numbers

Very close. I guess everyone sees certain players above others. i guess we will see in a few years which players reach expectations.

These lists are desperately lacking Silfverberg. How can you not but him in your top 15.

Silfverberg definitely has no business in the top 15 IMO. What warrants it? Being 22 and under a ppg in the ahl? Why isn't kadri in the top 15 then? Among many many others.

Because he doesn't deserve to be?

I really don't care if he's in the top 15 or not because if he isn't, he isn't far off. And there's no doubt he turns into a quality NHLer that will likely play many years good years in the league.

That said, identifying him as an under PPG player in the AHL as if it means anything at this point is faulty.

He's been a different player since his first month in the AHL ended, like, if you watched him play regularly you can see this very very easily. It's not a coincidence that he's got 15 points (9 goals) in his last 12 games and is regularly the best player on the ice. He's exceptional on the kill, plays smart in all zones and can score in a variety of ways while possessing what may be a high end NHL shot.

There's a pretty good chance several of the players in most of these top 15s won't reach the level Silfverberg will...but they are younger and have upside and thus get the benefit of the doubt over a 22 year old that doesn't necessarily project as a true star.

How isn't he worthy of not being there? He was adjusting to the smaller ice and now producing at over a PPG being one of the hottest players in the past month. Not to mention his credentials of being the best player in the SEL regular season and playoffs doing so at a young age not done so before since Forsberg.

He may be on the older side but his resume makes him one of the best players not in the NHL, he has accomplished everything you expect in a top-end prospect and he's still improving on it.

He's in my top 30 but not top 15. I think all the players I have listed have higher upsides.

Gally is a supreme talent with elite hockey sense, he's the only player I see becoming a #1C which is the most important position imo

No love for murray. He has an elite hockey sense and puck moving capabilities, mixed with his effortless skating and physicality, hes in the position to make a huge splash in the nhl. If his injury recovers correctly, on a new defensive minded and really agressive jackets team.
