Davis
Cousins
Noel
Favors
Val
Kanter
Robinson
Williams
Thompson
Haven't watched Zeller enough to rank him. AD and Cousins are just flat out more talented than everyone else on the list. Noel has elite athleticism and has the potential to be on many, many All NBA Defensive teams, just a question of how far along can his offensive game come. Favors and Val are pretty interchangeable, depends on if Utah decides to move our Jefferson and give Favors more playing time. Val lacks the pure athleticism the others have besides Cousins, but like Demarcus, has great touch and a good offensive skill set. I like Kanter's brute strength and physicality along with good touch.
Williams is a tweener, Robinson is a bit too short for my liking as a legit PF and Thompson is not anything special.
I think Noel's defensive game will make him a solid player, but I don't think to the extent that you have him ranked IMO. In the Kentucky games I've watched, they are pretty liberal with giving him Blocks on the scorecard. He's definitely quick on his feet and has good size/length, but I think it'll take quite some time before he can become an impact defensive player. A lot of the blocks he gets in the NCAA wouldn't do the job in the NBA, as I see them. On top of that, I don't think he'll ever crack the 10ppg barrier in the NBA, seeing as he is strictly limited to putback and open jams. He will be a quality player, but I don't see consistent All-star potential in him.
He'd be a bigger headcase in Toronto, and he's probably a big threat to pull a Carter and just NOT play for us after we get him. The problem with him is that nobody in Sacramento to keep his personality in check...and that problem would be magnified in Toronto.
The only fits for Cousins I can see is Boston, where Kevin Garnett can whoop him every time he acts up. Beyond that, there's no reason to suspect that he'll change no matter where he goes. In other words, Raps should NOT go for him.
Boston doesn't have the proper blocks to get Cousins. Not sure what they'd give up to get him...
Strictly out of curiosity, I wanted to look at Valanciunas' on-court production vs. the amount of fouls he gets as the season progresses. I tried to equalize it by making all of the stats per minute of play.
RPM = Rebound Per Minute
PPM = Point per Minute
FPM = Foul per Minute
I guess what these stats say is that his on-court production has decreased since the start of the season, but his fouling rate hasn't shown the same decline. I was trying to show that his fouling decreases at the same rate as his production, but the month of the December hasn't been good for him at all. Even still, his first month was his most productive AND his most foul-prone, so the hypothesis is somewhat satisfied.
Granted, separating the games into months is fairly arbitrary.
I thought u were not a basketball fan, I always see you post on leafs and jays
I think this is first time I have seen you post about raptors
Terrence ross IMO is a future star
he is my favorite rap, he has been great and poor in his time so far, expected because he is a rooki
but it seems he is now just starting to put through consistent minutes. really love this kid
janas has been decent in his rookie, sad he broke a finger, too many fouls through, but big man develop slower so he is in good shape, good pick and roll game, good rebounder, good defender, has a very simple offensive game but it is really raw
i think we have good player in him, he will be a good player
as you like to say, let them take their sweet time!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a good eye on sports all over the place lol. Most of my other teams are sort of from L.A. since I grew up there but I support most of the toronto teams, if not both even though I follow them just from the sidelines. Although hockey wise it's always and only Leafs.
Dear sweet god, who's ridiculous idea was it to have that little rat Bieber do commercial bumper music for the games today. I just want to watch some basketball, not get my ears assaulted by that twerp.

Also what's with the hideous monochrome jerseys (at least in the Bulls/Rockets game. I haven't watched all day long)? I thought just the Heat were wearing those monstrosities.

Not a big basketball fan, so I noticed this today too. I think every team was wearing these. Is there some story behind it? Can't read the player's name or number unless it's a close up.
I agree the holiday jerseys are the epitome of tacky and ugly. But I don't expect pretentiousness, style and design in the NBA. Very low rent considering the amount of money they make.
Knicks could've worn their green and red jerseys they at least look sharp and are holiday colours.
He needs to sit down and shut up cause he sucks. We need more team players and people who make the extra pass. I always find the balls stops once it gets to Kleiza.
