RNH looking pretty comfortable carrying the puck out there but got caught trying to do too much himself in his last attempt to gain the zone.

Oddly enough, I have noticed every time the Germans have put any pressure on the Canadians there seems to be Mr Reider on the ice.

Liking the heck out of Cammara's game. Three times so far I have noticed him blow past the defenders with sheer speed on the outside.

Agreed, and just as I type this Reider scores on the PP.

I certainly dont share the same confidence in Subban that the Canadian coaching staff does. He really seems to struggle with rebound control.

This kid has not got it done in the team evaluation, pre-tournament and now looks terrible. I don't get why he is in net!

Canada needs to stay disciplined if they want to achieve their goal. Also, not sure why RNH's PP unit starts 2nd? Are they trying to get the 2nd unit a lot of reps? I'm watching the game on mute and there really aren't too many Canadian players that are really impressing me offensively at this point. What # is Mackinnon? I'd expect a potential 1st overall pick to really stand out in a game like this.

What a bad period. Looked suspect at times from all positions. 4 PP's to Germany's 2(?) and we are only up by 1. Definitely hope its just a case of rust and getting used to new surroundings. Need to pick it up in the 2nd.

The level of play is definitely below that of the AHL, Canada needs to be much better and more disciplined.

I needed my RNH fix! I've really missed watching him play since he's gone to the WJC's. The kid is always so slick out there and his passing is something to behold.
