Whoa...who scored for Canada? I was still watching the Finland game.

Ouellette scored.

I think I'd take Drouin over any of the forwards in this draft.

Canada's top line is dangerous. RNH puts it home.

Seriously, RNH strikes me as a guy that will get rocked in open ice a few times in his career.

I would take a couple. Drouin does look talented and he's looked better than Mackinnon but Barkov looks like a man already.

Barkov has never impressed me as much as Drouin or Mackinnon.

Eh call it a difference of preference. I see a lot of Joe Thornton in him. Maybe even a little Malkin. Just a bit. Not saying he'll be that good, but their games are similar.

Ryan Murphy has been as brutal defensively as the last time I watched him play.

Yeah, he's got a lot of offensive flash, but not much else. The only Murphy I'd want is Connor, despite his awful luck.

Late hit there by Lipon. Kronthaler didn't have the puck. But no injury on the play. Good call. Tobias Reider makes em pay.

Still have yet to be truly impressed by Griffin Reinhart. I still don't see what the big deal is.

Agreed. I see a solid player but he doesn't stand out that much. I'm not sure he has the upside to justify using a #4 pick on him.

He's an incredibly smart and physically dominant defensive player. He was probably drafted slightly earlier than he should have been, but other than that he's an incredible prospect. He was untouchable in the SSS.

I guess it would've made more sense if I had said I still don't see what justified being picked so high. Lindholm, Rielly, Trouba, Dumba have all been more impressive this year. Yes I can see that he's a smart kid...physically dominant? Ehh. Still haven't seen it yet. Maybe I'm catching Oil King games on his off days or something, but he has a big body and what irks me about him is he doesn't use it for anything other than shielding the puck the way you expect a big board cycle forward to. That's not a bad thing, but I have yet to see him dominate in any way shape or form.

Morgan Rielly looks impressive. Good head on his shoulders.

Dumba hasn't been more impressive than Reinhart.

Scheifele is such a stud. He has impressed me at every level I've seen him play at.

Too easy for Schiefele. WAY too easy. And an easy assist for RNH.

In fairness I've only watched him play twice this year. Red Deer isn't exactly a must watch team for me.

Honestly...if he's hurt I think I'd prefer it if he sat the tournament out.

They've played together a few times with the WHL team and Canada. There was really no contest. As bad as you think Ryan Murphy is, Dumba was much worse. While I agree that the other guys that you listed would have been better picks, that's one comparison that I think Griffin wins.

Lindholm has a concussion, he's done. Our top 3 D's are now injured! :/

Huberdeau on the powerplay and RNH with another assist. It's just mind blowing watching him play. I don't want to like him. I really don't. Consecutive first overall picks has always irked me. Yakupov gets the benefit that I really like him. I want to dislike RNH, but I can't deny his talent. I really can't.

I didn't watch the Canada games but I did hear Dumba was awful.

I didn't think he looked 100% when he came back with Norfolk, or that exhibition game. God help us if he received a second concussion in a month.

I'd switch to a Rakell avatar, but I fear he'll be next to suffer a misfortune.
