Hoping Tavon Austin ends up with the Texans.

It's going to be weird next year when NC STATE of all teams has 3 starting QBs in the league and Phillip Rivers is the worst of the 3.

I wouldn't mind Detroit getting Moore or Te'o, but the secondary is simply terrible.

Later in the draft process, WF moves to full draft as well, sans compensation picks.

I don't think there's anything unusual about it. The number of drafted QBs who do *really* well is small enough to have a pretty random looking distribution. Other college football powerhouses have done similarly or worse - Ohio State's best ever NFL QB was Kent Graham, Penn State had Kerry Collins and little else, LSU hasn't had a decent NFL QB since Bert Jones in the 70s. Rex Grossman is the best Florida did at the position.

With USC QBs it's more the fact that seemingly every guy who's played QB for them since Pete Carroll arrived there got a look in the NFL and only Carson Palmer turned out to be pretty good. But it's really no surprise that those guys get looked at, if you are the QB of a productive pro-style offense for a good team in a BCS power conference and you have NFL measurables you'll get looked at (and USC QBs tend to be former elite recruits so they usually have elite measurables).

You actually think Glennon's going to be better than Rivers next year?

I'm not so sure he'll ever be as good as Rivers or even good enough to be a starter in the league.

Eh I was being mostly facetious. But I didn't expect Russell Wilson to be this good and it's not like Rivers has been *that* great lately. Honestly, looking over his career, he's only thrown for more than 30TDs once and hasn't done much without LT. He's going to need a couple bounceback years near the top of the league if he wants to be thought of as anything more than a consistently above average QB.

So you're talking about Glennon as the other QB, but who is the 3rd QB from NC State that will be starting?

Russell Wilson played for NC State before Wisconsin.

Kind of figured you were joking around but yeah I agree that Rivers isn't anything special and I certainly didn't think Wilson would be this good either.

Top 10 draft picks: 1. KC; 2. JAX; 3. OAK; 4. PHIL; 5. DET; 6. CLEV; 7. ARIZ; 8. BUFF; 9. NYJ; 10. TEN.

Not sure where everyone has been getting the SOS for the 2012 season (I can only find previous year's seasons) but we should know it for the top 16 picks or so.

Nevermind:

Dré ‏@Andy_Fenelon
11) Chargers, 12) Dolphins, 13) Bucs, 14) Panthers, 15) Saints, 16) Rams, 17) Steelers

Dré ‏@Andy_Fenelon
Top 20 picks in draft: 1) Chiefs, 2) Jaguars, 3) Raiders, 4) Eagles, 5) Lions, 6) Browns, 7) Cardinals, 8) Bills, 9) Jets, 10) Titans ...

A top five pick in a fairly deep defensive draft?

I'll take it

For future reference, ESPN has them in their playoff standings: http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/t...nk/order/false

Hard to believe the Lions get another top 5 pick. They have no excuses next year not to be a competitive team.

I'm starting to wonder if the Jags might look at Star Lotuleilei over Jarvis Jones. Terrance Knighton is set to be a FA, and Alualu is somewhat injury prone. Lotuleilei looks like he might be the next Haloti N'gata.
