At the end of the day, Ryan McDonagh didn't make it at 18 either.
You can't tell me Reilly, Gryz, or even Sieloff are better prospects than Skjei right now with a straight face.

We knew this was a possibility. USA defense and goaltending is its strongest assets.
Skjei getting cut isn't an indictment on him.
He goes back to Minnesota, still as the youngest player on the roster. They have a couple of big games coming up, including a game against Boston College.

Gotta love waking up and seeing Skjei cut and Miller not being named captain.

Not surprised about the Skjei cut. He'll be a top-4 guy for the team next year. Time to go to Minnesota and get in some good game time.

More salt in the wound in this our season of discontent.
Seriously? Relax guys. We have two great prospects in these two kids. I could not care a lick about this.

So I guess I'm the only sucker who woke up in the middle of the night to watch Team Canada play a lower tier team?

Just got home from work. Tuning in now and thought I was hallucinating to seeing live hockey (KHL sucks). I wish NHL net aired more juniors/ahl games durign the lockout. The WJC should be good atleast.

These kids shoot like I did. Hard as you can and hope it goes somewhere the goalie isn't.

I'm surprised that Germany scored 3.

That was a great game. I was hoping that Yakupov would actually do something though.

I thought he played a solid game. Nothing flashy, for better, or for worse.

Is this game that's on NHLN network right now live, or is it the beginning of the tournament?
What game are their airing after this? Says USA vs. Finland - is that a previously aired exhibition game?
Thanks.

USA starts the actual tourney tomorrow.
USA vs. Finland was a previous exhibition game in which the US **** the bed.

The game they're airing right now is from December 20th, a pre-tournament exhibition game against Sweden. USA won 3-2 in OT. Sorry for the spoiler alert.

My guide gets cut off on the screen so I can't see the air dates of these games on NHLN tight now.
