Remember, this isn't the first time Canada is accused of dirty play/unbiased refereeing.

Robin Lehner 2 yrs ago went on a full out tirade on the refs for awarding Canada a win.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but if players come out alleging Canada's treachery, I have to take their word for it.

The only tirade Lehner went on about was in a game he lost to the Russians, were an iceing wasn't called and it resulted in a Russian goal and eventually a Russian Win. And want he said was "if it was Canada playing it would have not been called that way..."

Canada lost to Sweden that year, 2011 in Buffalo and didn't play them in the medal round.

Dude, you realy should pay more attention to the games...and study up a little bit.

That said euros are divers in this tourney, watching the pregames and today's game vs Germany is just painful. They're bringing their soccer mentality into hockey.

That's true. But in all fairness, the Canucks and Yanks come in with an American football mentality.

Maybe you should review what Lehner actually said. Might help make your argument look better if it doesn't have false statements in it.

Sounds tongue-in-cheek to me. Aside from Don Cherry's senile rant, Nail knows where he comes from.

When canadiens skills aren't good enough, they usually resort to dirty play. Everyone knows that.

Bravo TSN!! Absolute masters at stirring up Canadian hockey passion over mundane comments made by opponents.

You guys eat this stuff up every time.

Comment made, comment reported. It's kind of their job, to report on sporting events and interviews by players/coaches/GM etc.

No they don't. TSN manufactures controversy by stirring up passions.

Look at Kuznetsov's comments being blown out of proportion last year. Anton Lander's the year before that.

It makes for good drama, and translates into interest, viewership and ratings for TSN.

Looks like he meant to punch him in the face and missed, to be honest.

Could have been a call live based on intent, but pushing someone's chest isn't really a penalty, is it?

The yanks do try to imitate our game, but they try to be a lil more fancy when playing against us then when they play the euro teams, because they realize, as imitators to our style of play, that attempting this against the canadian squad will only get them beaten up.

Taking Lehner's comments against the Russians and applying them to Canada is a pretty egregious error.

Don't look now, but your strong bias against Canada is showing.

Someone in here said that we tried to intimidate cause we didn't have enough skill to win...

It's called having the depth to play different styles and still win...

We didn't fix what wasn't broken...

This year we tried a different approach and brought a very skilled finesse team... We still cut a few tough players... Who would of made it in previous years...

Or crushing a Canadian with a clean hard hit will get you boarded from behind by a rat like Della Rovere.

Sometimes when games are heated and Canada is either losing/or frustrated they start to play dirty, which i never really see with other teams. Bad loser mentality or something. But overall not really anymore "dirty" than other teams.

Yes, let's continue to have this veil over our eyes that no other country cheap shots people. Good idea.

He's not wrong. We play hard and aggressive and often have players who cross the line.
