Yeah, the new raids are very challenging. 14/16 Heroic ATM and working on Heroic Grand Empress Shekzeer... man, that fight is challenging. From a DPS perspective, it's a joke... you're either geared enough to meet the DPS checks or you're not, there's very few actual mechanics to look out for.

But for healers? There's so much damage going out that each and every person is constantly at risk of dying, even if they do everything in their power to survive. The only way to overcome this is to just keep bashing your head against the boss to get slightly better at hitting those healing CDs at proper times, and hope for the pull where everyone hits everything at the perfect time.

Normal mode felt like LFR compared to most bosses... heroic is just in another ballpark.

Haha that's funny I was just randomly reading through this thread and saw you say you have no interest left in WoW. Happens to me a lot. I play consistently for a year or so and get so burnt out and sick of dealing with the people in my guild that I'll say I'm completely done with the game... Only to come back a month or two later. Luckily, my guild is very forgiving and I've been with them since Wrath so I'm always welcome back into the raid.

Sometimes you just need to leave Azeroth for a bit to appreciate it again

Funniest thing is how I enter Stormwind and the first thing I see is an intense marijuana debate in chat

Trade chat may be just as good as the game itself

I play on Moonguard.

Some guy had a birthday and this is what I saw.

Bout a couple hundred people hanging out in the Stormwind Cathedral mostly naked with Alliance balloons. There was even someone at the door asking for 10g to enter.

I remember last time I checked in people were talking about enjoying challenge modes.

After a few month break while I progressed through the gated Heroic raiding content, challenge modes are back! My guild is actively trying to get world record challenge mode times and currently we hold 3/9. Hoping to get more under our belts as we get free time.

If anyone is curious to see what a gold medal challenge mode looks like, when attempting to go for a world record.. here's a video of our latest. It's a short video, so enjoy!

Also if anyone is interested in watching future world record attempts or raiding, follow me on twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/savedwow

I still haven't done challenge modes. My friends and I were supposed to form "Super A-Team" for challenge modes but conflicting schedules has not allowed it.

What is the intended goal? Golds, silvers, or bronze? By now the strategies are out there to get at least gold times, so you shouldn't have much issue putting together a group if you want to put in the time to try and learn the strategies.

any good advice for a noob? I know nothing of all these guild rules and raiding and such, although it's probably old hat to many here. My 9 year old likes it, so I got it so we could play together.

We have night elves as our mains(low 20s), he is a tank warrior and I'm a frost mage.

Mop is pretty nice so far, much better than Cata. Dragon Soul was such a boring raid, it's nice to have 3 very different raids and fights with interesting and fun mechanics. Haven't had time to get too much into challenge modes, but I've got a couple silvers and bronzes.

I have been critical of WoW and changes to my warlock which I had struggled to adjust to

However the changes to hunters have not been as radical so I have taken to leveling the hunter

Less than a day and I've leveled up to 86

Also will say this is a good expansion so far, everything is amazingly beautiful. With the new computer, everything is ultra except for water. Everything also runs smoothly without any issue.

Shado-Pan Monastery WR going down! Exciting instance, come watch twitch.tv/savedwow

EDIT: ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHED the exisiting WR. It is 15m and 3 seconds. We came close on one attempt, got 15m 12 seconds. The very next attempt we got 14m 17 seconds for world best by such a significant margin! Will post a video.

I would probably recommend just getting a group and all watching these youtube videos.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...M80Uu_gCHKraPS

Made by a guild mate of mine. The strategies we talked about and did when we did them in Sept/Oct are still great for getting gold mode times and are fairly easy to replicate.

Another thing I would recommend is to get gear with sockets. Sockets seem to go over the stat budget so you can gain a bit of extra dps like that.

Practice each pull, work out proper cooldown usage (one of the most important parts) for each trash pack and gold modes aren't too bad if you follow those guides.

Yes

Can't increase from 85 to 86. So I'm just leveling the Warlock now. Soon he will be 85 and ready for MoP.

Finally transferred from my ghost town of a server to Sargeras about a month ago. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. It feels good being on one of the huge pvp community servers again.

I've gotten my t2 weap on druid, t1 on priest(been on the shelf forever, can't stand shadow) and got my t1 on rogue a couple days ago.

Santa was good to me too. On my rogue, I got my mainhand Warglaive on Monday and my offhand on Wednesday.
