Merry Christmas! I got a 'best Christmas ever!' from the kids. I'll take that as a win.

Merry Christmas all. Had a good day... my son got most everything he wanted this morning, we had a nice family breakfast and then spent the day with my in-laws. The combination of being up late last night and up early this morning all while having about 3 hours of random awake time in the middle of the night made me bail out a little early from her aunt's house though as I'm exhausted.

Time to sit and relax and watch my son play his new video game.

Man, I cooked some kickass Roastbeef today with potatos, vichy carrots and baby yorkies.

felt like Jamie Oliver, minus his horrible accent.
Also Oliver and JD from Scrubs have the same dubbed german voice. FWIW

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
I thought you were German not Korean Duddy? You had better hope PETA doesn't find out you're chowing down on yorkies.

Just finished putting together one of my son's gifts -- a Celestron AstroMaster LT 70. Now for some clear skies please, so we can go look at the stars!

Nice, I think I had an older version of that one when I was younger. I remember using it a ton to just look at the surface of the moon.

Me too!

Given all that's gone on and the fact that I only had the kids from 1 to 5 yesterday, that was awesome.

I also just got my eldest new to him laptop up and running on Windows 7. I can't wait to see his face tomorrow when he finds out!

Well, the line at the animal shelter was much shorter than the one at the grocery store.

Lots of snow will definitely slow down the trains...it'll come but it might be 8 hours late.

Roads will be clear but rails are a different story--remember the train will likely be very delayed coming to Buffalo, and is unlikely to gain speed back because rail in this country sucks.

Amtrak in the midwest has a pretty spotty record when it comes to snow on the tracks.

I'd make sure you to check the train delays before actually heading to the station in the morning

I feel bad for my kids.

They don't get to see their cousins as much as they'd like and now their uncle is being his usual germophobe self and not letting them near his kids because my daughter got car sick yesterday....

I feel bad for their mom too, but let's not mention that.

On the bright side, I only have to deal with my family drama this Christmas!

I checked the stuff right now, and then called, they said that there will probably be minor delays but train 284 will be here, to NYC. The train is actually out of Buffalo Exchange I think. hoping for the best.
Edit: No service alerts for Buffalo...yet
