I'm sure this will be a good one. Swiss are riding high with confidence after whooping Latvia's butt 7-2

Because it was on TV3, and available online via Viaplay.

Going to go for the tournaments first upset here. Swiss were better against Latvia than I expected, whether that was because they played well or Latvia played bad I don't know. They always give top 6 teams a fair bit of trouble. I don't know what to think of Sweden's first game because the Czechs were just so bad. I feel like Sweden is beatable though, might just be because I like Switzerland though.

Swiss 5-4

Sweden is beatable but for not the Swiss. Or of course, anything can happen, but I wouldnt bet on a Swiss win here.

Could be surprisingly close, but eventually Sweden will win with a couple of goals.

BTW Forsberg looks like a beast, i saw him @ Helsinki and he was impressive against Canada.

I think Sweden is beatable as well, but I don't think Switzerland will be the team to do it. They did well against Latvia, but Latvia played yesterday. Switzerland will be the tired team tomorrow. They should be able to keep it reasonable, as they did well pre-tournament against Russia, but fatigue is always tough on the bottom teams in back to back games.

I don't think fatigue is as much a factor with younger players (especially the ones in the CHL) and in a short-term tournament like this it's nice to have the games as chemistry builders. I think this game is going to be closer than a lot of people suspect though I expect the Swedes to pull it out 5-3.

Switzerland could tie the game in the last 10 minutes last year and it went to a shootout. I hope we'll see something similar tomorrow. Surely Boltshauser and Kukan will have some extra motivation, both play in Sweden.

Did you see how passive Germany was today vs yesterday on the PK? Or how how they only looked like they had legs for the second half of the first? Or how a tired body leads to a tired mind and poor decision making equals turnovers galore?

It really shouldn't effect USA nearly as much since they play more games regularly than Germans. Also, they were able to rest players after putting up a big lead early. Switzerland didn't have that luxury.

It is still a factor though, even if it is small, moreso as the game progresses.

Should be a win for sweden. I don't see Switzerland winning against Sweden at this point of the WJC.

5 Ds and best forward injured for Sweden, but it should still be an easy win.

5-2
