I thought this was just the Team Canada+other teams GDT. Gally is special enough to get his own thread.

Loving the intensity of Gally. He's got Kovalev skills but he shows up every shift. Nice combination.

You can see it on his face and body language on the ice, he wants it bad.

What a wrist shot by Seth Jones. Top corner like Gally.

Just tuned in. What's the scoop -- why is Gally barely playing? Are they just resting him / playing others because of the score?

Yes. And they play tomorrow vs Russia, which is a pivotal game. You'll see plenty of him tomorrow at 9 AM ET.
He played plenty in the first 25 minutes or so, don't worry.

Seth Jones is the defenceman most likely to win the Norris trophy as many times as Harvey and Orr did.If he stays healthy through his career,I can't see Karlsson or anyone else in his echelon.
He's already made me forget that Detroit Dman's name that just retired Capstone or lidst?...

So all we need is to be in the top5 for the draft and we get 1 of mackinnon, barkov, drouin, lindholm or jones?
Jesus , any 1 of them would be unreal for us, I hope we luck out somehow

I don't see Seth Jones having anywhere near Orr-like offensive upside. He's going to be good but he's just as likely to be Erik Johnson 2 as he is better than Lidstrom.

I can't believe a team drafting 5th will get one of those guys. Now that is unreal.

Missed the last 5 minutes of the game and wasn't getting much ice time cause of tomorrow's game but did Gally get the player of the game award?

I heard it was Gally and Latta for players of the game. Not sure if those were official, though.

Could even be as late as 6th as Monahan will also be in the discussion as the classic big North American center.
