Game day decision whether or not to let Kadri play wednesday. Whenever the season starts (probably next season), Kadri should be playing top six. He's more useful as top six and is meant to be there.

Glad that he has no headaches. Rib injuries aren't as bad a concussion. Most players that come back from concussions don't play as well as they used to. I hope his rib injury is minor so he can get healthy quickly and play again.

so, thats it for gardiner, not going to be the same player when he comes back.

I'm not writing him off. I'm just saying that *most* players that come back from concussions are not the same. Some do come back just fine though.
Ryan Miller hasn't been as good since his concussion. I used to think this guy was amazing before his concussion. Lombardi and Liles haven't been producing like they used to since their concussions either.
Crosby, yes he came back from his concussion and still produces. There are definitely lots of good examples of players coming back. I'm just saying that it's one of the most risky injuries in hockey.
I stubbed my toe this morning so I can't go to work tomorrow...no wait, I am covering for a concussion
Can we give the concussion paranoia a break? Even if he does have a concussion, it is not the end of the world. Hockey players used to get concussions before modern medical science figured out what they were and played right through them...just because a player has a concussion does not mean their career is in jeapordy.

Relax. No where in that post was it mentioned that his career is over. No need for over-reaction.
Besides, its a fair judgement from his part, as Leafs have done previously in case of Reimer denying concussion (and probably Gardiner: Burke called it whiplash)

Do you realize how similarly the two can present?
"But what about situations in which there is whiplash yet there is no direct contact of the head on any surface? The high velocity movement of the head during a whiplash event alone could produce the same effects. One example of this phenomenon occurred recently to an athlete in American professional baseball playing for the Milwaukee Brewers in Major League Baseball. In 2006, Corey Koskie suffered a concussion without a direct force to the head during a routine play in the field. While attempting to catch a ball batted in the air into shallow left field, he fell backward, landing on his upper back. The force of the fall did not cause his head to hit the playing surface but produced a whiplash-like force at the cervical spine. At this point, Koskie has missed two and one half baseball seasons because of concussion-like symptoms and his progress has been atypically slow."
Oh please. We've seen this act before by the Leafs when Reimer got his bell rung. After a little digging by journalists, we find out from his mother that Reimer has a history of concussions dating back to peewee.
Kadri got smoked, and is now going to have increased likeliness of relapse into "whiplash" like symptoms whenever it is he gets smoked again.
Even if it is a concussion, as Christ said (lol), it's historically one of the most common injuries in hockey. Guys get their bell rung and come right back all the time.

Kadri is becoming injury prone. We should be looking to trade his ass before he's a walking talking hospital expense.
