I love Jack Whitehall's accent. I love this video because I also had a juiced up South African PE teacher at school

and of course the girl in my avatar

I also have a Scottish lecturer with a fantastic posh Edinburgh accent

Hmm, what do you other Europeans think, I have the impression that we have much more distinct regional dialects than in the "New World".

Nah there are loads of different accents in America but they all sound the same to us Europeans.

To me in America there is only "American" and "Southern" and I'd have a really tough time telling the difference between someone from say Boston and California

But I must admit for such a small land mass the UK has a ridiculous number of regional accents.

Bawston is one of the most distinctive American accents there is. It's horrible.

To me it's all just the same nasaly whiney voice, there are even some Irish people I couldn't tell they were Irish because it sounded so similar

Agreed. I find all Aussie accents nice but I only like about 5% of British accents. Might be because I've gotten used to them after living here.

Favorites:

German

Least:
Southern - "How y'all doin'?" Ugh.
Bahston - Don't know why, just can't stand it.
Haitian - I have a few friends that are Haitian. When they speak, it sounds like some French mixed in with some marble gargling.

Fun fact: When just about anyone in the world says "British" they mean "relating to London."

Scottish is another one that I can't stand. I'll be on Xbox Live and 2 Scots will be talking to each other, and I barely understand what they're saying.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is that I hate the Australian accent. It sounds so uneducated, and whiny.

Some spot on accents in that vid, and also some complete misses.

Torontonians do NOT sound like that.
