Lot better effort than last time they played Grand Rapids and got beat because of lack of finish and good goaltending.

One thing GR can do is move the puck around and did so on the winner.

Was impressed with Ebbett tonight and the Wolves defense in general. Nice to see Archibald continue to score but would sure be nice if others could start to score

Andersson again looked competent and not out of place. Also Schneider did a good job against the Nyquist line and on the PK.

Not impressed at all with Sterling tonight. Just trashing around and making some very poor passes. Nor did Kassain IMO look all that good. Too many passes behind his back and not looking especially alert. Freisen was better but still not good enough and he took a very bad penalty as well.

Arneil has them playing better as a team but somehow this team has to produce more offense - especially on the PP

Did I read in this thread a while ago that there's a televised Wolves game coming up soon? I didn't feel like sifting through the pages of Red Wings prospect and goalie coaching discussion.

Kassian with a good feed (based on announcers, did not watch) to Ebbett on a "PP" goal. That's right, I said PP goal. I'm a little shocked that Cannata hasn't had a start yet, pretty weak development plan.

Nice hit by archibald, who came in for rockford? Why didnt archibald defend himself? Did not really watch closely.

Where are the regulars?

Looks like Archilbald just LAYED OUT Shaw then jumped by Bolig.

But my terrible stream doesn't show replays so I can't tell how the hit or fight was

Like I said my stream doesn't show replays so I really can't tell what happened. Sounded like Arch blasted shaw with a clean hit then jumped by Bolig. Kassian stood and watched

I have the same stream I am guessing, i dont like bolig, hawks fans think hes so hard, and biznasty schooled him pretty good last year.

Wish kassian would have jumped in or archibald fought back unless he got blindsided and just dropped. Someone like archibald i assumed would be ready to drop the gloves after delivering a hit like that.

3-2 Rockford after Sterling tied it up 2-2. Kassian two primary PPA's.

Firstrow.eu usually has the Woves games. The only bad thing is the quality (although not choppy) is pretty grainy and bad. Also they never seem to show replays.

But they do have the games. Also you can DL their app to watch the games as well

Haven't watched all of it but yes couple of nice passes but a brutal drop pass by Kassian near the end of the period as well. Makes a lot of blind passes

Decent effort it seemed but again limited offense.

One thing I don't understand is why Arneil broke up the Archibald - Longpre - Gordon line. They seemed to be working well and scoring. Gordon now out (maybe injured??) and Longpre moved to the wing with Schroeder. Archibald now with the anchor Friesen.

Actually Friesen with somewhat of better effort in the parts I saw but he still looks far from being ready for this level of competition. Suppose they have to give him time but maybe spotted more and only used in a 4th line role.

Again thought Andersson had some good moments and showed good speed getting back on some of the turnovers.

Saw nothing out of Rodin tonite. Beginning to agree with those that don't see him going any where. At least injury didn't keep him out too long. Played with Schroeder and Longpre. Some said they were decent early on but in the parts I watched nothing much was happening. Thought Schroeder was weak in the final push when they pulled the goal-tender.

Connauton always makes just enough mistakes to tell you that he might get burned very bad at eh NHL level.

You wonder what happened to DesBiens. Use to be a pretty strong player at this level. Now gets little time and does little with the time he does get.

Arneil is lot closer to the situation than I am but you do wonder about his use of personnel.

Arniel is all over the place with the lines. Reminds me of AV back a couple of seasons a go. Just picking straws out of a hat.

I'm hearing that JS got a blindside elbow to the face in this game... any truth to this?

It's on the 29th... can't remember who it's against though.

Kassian shouldn't have to defend a guy like Archibald. If Archie is gonna play tough, he needs to be the one to back it up instead of count on Kassian to protect him. Now if Bolig jumped someone like Shroeder, then Kassian needs to step in.

I agree but I think the issue me and jammy had was how it played out, I was not sure if bolig blindsided him and started feeding him shots, if so i think kassian should have peeled him off...as i mentioned Archibald needs to be looking around ready to drop the gloves immediately after delivering a hit like that so its really on him.

But if you seen the game kassian was standing over bolig and archibald, archibald who was turtled or laying down covering up while bolig was standing over him pounding him. Maybe kassian felt that as well, archibald is a big guy he should handle it and didnt want to get involved. I just thought kassian might try to peel him off while archibald was turtled and getting pounded.

Also JS is not going to be delivering hits like the archibald one. I dont think anyone would unless they are a big guy to begin with. Shaw is a tough kid from what I have seen of him, he can take a licking, but after that hit he was down for a bit.

Here's the highlights from that last game. The quality's crappy, but I couldn't find them anywhere else. It's worth it to check out Kassian's two owns bones feeds.

Game on Sportsnet tonight! Hopefully Arniel finally gives Cannata a game tonight so we can see how he looks right now.

Great to hear that Cannata is getting a shot tonight. Will be interesting to see how he plays given his poor stats in the ECHL.

With those two backhand passes it looks like Kassian is harnessing his inner 'Sedin', would be interesting to see him given a shot with them for a few games should we actually get a season.

That first pass by Kassian is Joe Thornton-esque, sweet hands!
