There has to be more to the story off the ice here, because I thought he was one of our better offensive forwards many nights.

This is likely. That team has to be an incredibly desirable destination for NHLers. If I were a locked out NHLer, it'd definitely be my number one choice. They are only allowed to have so many imports. There is probably some big star player about to take his spot.

Also possible. Brule is definitely a player who has suffered through some of the worst of the much less talked about poat concussion issues. I really like everything he brings to the table as a hockey player, but it has been a tough road for him ever since he was unlucky enough to be drafted by Columbus.

If you have read the ZSC translated website, you would get the correct story. Brule asked to be released from the team for personal reasons. Maybe it wasn't a good situation!
