I don't think he played that well against Germany either tbh. I haven't seen the Russia game til this weekend though.

He was too nervous and tried to do too much. On the other hand, Gostisbehere has been very impressive to me. I notice him a lot on the ice.

I didn't watch the Germany game or the 1st period( watching Swiss vs Sweden) so, I can't comment on what I haven't seen but from what I saw, Jones looked like Lebda.

I would like to see Barkov get drafted by AVS, but afaik AVS don't draft Russians very often.(I know he plays for Finland, but still has russian surname)

LOL D2M, this is bad. The guy is a freakin' beast, he has better than EJ, when they were at the same age.

He does have a Russian surname, but the kid is basically Finnish with a Russian father. Actually if the we have a (8th-16th) later pick (based on lottery or standings) I definitely wouldn't mind drafting Nichushkin. This kid is going to be a beast as well.

All I'm saying is he wasn't a beast in that game. He was trash really.

How much do you know about Tkacyov? He really impressed me today.

Against Germany? He was far from trash to the point I think he looked solid. Though today he was much better and so far I have him over MacKinnon in #1 who I think is hella overrated.

I don't know a lot about Russian players (Tkachyov was ok last game), but besides Nichushkin I think Kucherov has been the best Russian in both games, IMO.

No I was talking about today's game he coughed up the puck 3 times, Nichu walked all over him and he was way to high up the ice, that lead to a Russian breakaway.

I'm not saying don't draft him but he was horrible today.

For me Nichu and his line, plus Slepshyk(sp) were the best.

Currently his only weakness is defense, but he will be a great two-way player. Remember, anything defensive takes the most time to develop and IMO he has potential to be solid.

You know it's the WJC, when Canadians start *****ing and whining. Usually, about diving and the refs. They almost get as bad as EPL fans.

He was a little better today, I only counted 4/5 mistakes.

Drouin on the other hand, was fantastic. He has some smooth hands.

Jones looked quite good offensively, he does a bit too much puck watching defensively. I'd also like to see him put more zip into some of his passes, quite a few of them should've been picked off as they were just hanging around.

I can definitely see the potential, but can also tell that he is still a very raw talent.

Also liked what I have seen of MacKinnon, wish his coach would actually give him some playing time as he has looked good, has created some chances and hustles back defensively.

He looked pretty bad on the Strome goal, as you've said he's too foucused on the puck to see what else is happening around him.

I thought his passing was fine. I agree offensively, he looks good but defensively he's a mess. Hedman and trouba were both better than him in their draft years.

Most of his straight ahead passes are fine. When he is trying to be fancy, especially with his saucer passes, I noticed that they hung around too long, something that will get picked off at higher levels.

This Drouin kid has some serious skill. He's been one of Canada's best players every game I've watched. He's out performed Nathan which hasn't been hard considering he's playing on the 4th line but the only time I've noticed Nathan is when he's taking a dumb penalty.

Assuming the Avs get the #5-10 pick, I'd like to them them nab Sean Monahan. Big, mature-beyond-his-years, good skater, passer, shooter and passionate.

Drouin is just amazing, so much skill. He and Duchene or Stastny would be magic together.

Depends on who's the third guy on the line, plus their skill level would be insane.

Not as soft as the defensive pairing of EJ and Jones.

Man, Trouba is a helluva player. Whoever questioned his offense is a moron, I really wanted him last year . I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being the best defender in his draft year and jones.

He just scored... again that's 5 in 5 and 8 points I think.
