Um yea so in other words it is unlikely that Kadri reaches first line potential and could drop as low as a fourth line or minor league player which is what I think is a fair rating at this point.
Amazing what Finn can do when not suffering with mono .
It's too bad he did cause He could be over in ufa with Rielly right now had he not gotten sick.
You'd have to think with only Rielly and Reinhart eligible for next in year Sweden(they will probably both be in the NHL) that Finn is already a very good bet for the team.

Not gonna lie i've been skeptical of finn but he's slowly starting to win me over.
I've heard nothing but good things about Finn .. When you talk about taking BPA, he seems to definitely have been it when he fell to the Leafs in the last draft and they could be reaping some big rewards in the future because of it
Between him, Percy, and Blacker .. I think we'll find a solid top 4 defender in that group to go along with Rielly, Gardiner as young core defensemen on the Leafs

What did Kadri do to have a potential of only a 4th liner or a minor leaguer, or to make you think that? He's been playing great, don't know what you've been watching

Finn is exactly the type of defenseman that Team Canada needs right now. Too many offensive defensemen and not enough two-way players. Murphy is absolutely useless if you ask me, I'd take Finn over him in a heart beat.

Agreed. Worried about the defence this year. You really need moble defencemen who are composed and make good decisions. Really miss Ryan Murray, IMO

He's been playing well in the minor leagues as of late (inconsistently mind you, and with injury issues).
No guarantees he amounts to anything more than that.
Hence my suggestion he may not rise to his potential of a 1st or 2nd line player for the Leafs.
Hes not the kind of player most good teams ice on the 3rd or 4th line cuz of his style of play.

Injury issues are something a guy like Pascal Leclaire has. Kadri's been checked in the head and pretty much any other player would have been injured on plays he has.

Ya but Leclaire is a seasoned veteran dude.
I haven't seen too many other teams top prospects had their shoulder ripped apart already along with the many other minor injuries Kadri has received in his young career.
Saw the Guelph Storm play yesterday. Matt Finn struggled to keep the puck in at the blue line a few times and is not very physical. One turnover led to a breakaway. But he is a smooth skater for sure, a few times guys will be lining him up for a big hit and he'll sneak around them somehow. Also you can tell he's got some leadership in him. He often approached players on the other team after they take shots and chirped them. Also after some goals against the storm he'd take to his goalie and didn't seem phased

That's the biggest thing I like about Finn to be honest. He's got a fantastic personality to him, especially for a market like Toronto. The not afraid to hit on Alyonka Larionov kind of personality.
Each Rupert with a goal and an assist now as the Knights lead 3-1 over Plymouth. R Rupert's assist was a primary (and the only) assist on M Rupert's goal.

Are the Knights still on that crazy winning streak?

Yup, I've been updating my avatar with the number of wins as they get them 22 right now. 25 wins in a row is the record for the CHL. The longest streak without a regulation loss is 31 games by the 04/05 London Knights. Nearing both of those now. Sadly I am on vacation coming up and I won't know if the Knights keep winning or not I think I miss 3 games so they could have the winning streak record by the time I come back.
