Still I recall more than a handful of plays where Gilmore's guy has been open by 4 or 5 YARDS. A lot more where Gilmore is in the vicinity, but the catch is made.

He's a good tackler after the reception but the definition of "shutdown" means the guy doesn't get the ball to begin with.

The one thing to keep in mind is most of the time if a corner does a good job in coverage the play doesn't come his way...so it doesn't get talked about unless the color guy really wants to make a point. It's one of those positions where you'll often only get attention when you screw up...or make a miraculous play. Gilmore is still going to get better, but I like where he is this year.

I believe we have the worst LB core in the NFL at this moment.

Right now the defense needs completely new LBs and a good #2 CB. I think Ron Brooks has a chance to be a good #3.

On the Offensive side a solid #1-2 WR would be amazing. A new QB obviously and they can improve at TE (hell I'd even like them go to a Houston Texans style of play with 2 TE sets).

Truthfully most of this can be addressed in the offseason but they need to hit on their picks (especially their first 3 rounds LB-WR-QB is most likely). I'd also throw a low draft pick for Rolando McClain (at this point why not? Maybe leaving Oakland would help). Cut Tyler Thigpen and Taravis Jackson; try to sign Vick and Jennings (and fail) and pick up a QB in the 2-3 round.

He's a senior. Probably wouldn't be interested in taking him anytime before the 5th round.

He's got more passing yards than RGIII

I've seen him a few times, impressive every time.

As for Kolton Browning of UL Monroe stay away!!! He stinks. Just messed up my SFTC!

Gilmore has been average this year, nowhere near a shutdown corner. And shutting down Larry Fitzgerald this year isn't that impressive, he's been absolutely terrible all season.

He's not a shutdown corner yet but he's headed in that direction. He's been well above average.

• CB Stephon Gilmore (first round, 10th overall): Has started from the first day of minicamp and is unquestionably the team’s No. 1 cornerback. In 15 games, all starts, Gilmore has made 59 tackles (sixth on the team), defended 16 passes (tied for ninth in the NFL), made one interception and forced three fumbles (tied for 21st in the league).

“He’s doing a good job. He’s become a better player, to me, each week. He’s becoming more knowledgeable, understanding the game and what he needs to get done,” Gailey said of Gilmore last month, at the same time confirming the rookie would be matched up with the opposing team’s No. 1 receiver.

Gilmore hasn’t been responsible for a touchdown against him since Week Five in San Francisco, according to the website profootballfocus.com, which charts every play of every NFL game. One area he does need to improve, though, is penalties. He’s been flagged 12 times for 132 yards.

Fitzgerald has no QB to throw to him, lol. I bet Fitz could succeed with him.

Mario says it's important to finish up "strong" on Sunday. Do you agree or disagree?

http://wgr550.com/Bills--Mario-Willi...trong/15134998

I disagree. Of course theres a lot of rumors floating around on whats on the horizon for the team. I won't get into all that but I do feel theres going to be changes afoot to some capacity, atleast in HC. If thats so, a win is pointless. Under a new system next year it does you no good really. Win or lose this season was a FAIL.

That would be par for the course for them. Both have to be re-signed.

Not really, can anybody remember the last time the Bills developed a good player and then let them walk to free agency?
