I agree who could we get back for the 1st round pick?
"Not sure but Farrell is becoming the consensus 1st pick, and that there are a few teams that covet him.
Create a bidding war among those teams to try and drive up the price, then take the best offer. I would aim for another pick a bit later in the 1st round, and an MLS caliber player to help bolster the MF.
Despite likely losing out on Farrell, TFC still has the #3 overall, and it is VERY probable that Zimmerman will still be available at that pick. (Rumour has Chivas taking Mexican-American MF Lopez at #2)
Many scouts believe that Zimmerman has the potential to be the better player long-term anyway, but is not as MLS-ready as Farrell for this coming season"
Thanks "AndMat" glad to hear people still caring about TFC. Cheers and happy holidays!
Np Happy Holidays to you 2.
Not sure what Payne is gonna do with the roster, I think Fringe is done here I think he gets bought out or moved his speed is not MLS Caliber, Also I would not mind going after Mellberg again.

It's a good chance to look at some of are prospects Dylan Carreiro, Jon Dollery, Jorgo Nika and Samuel Piette the 17 year old who's played for Canada's national team.

I believe we'll play this last year of his contract if Payne doesnt find any other good defensive midfielders. Really wouldn't mind Frings being bought out. He's a great ball distributer but that job should be done by our number 1 CAM which we don't have.

Well we will see nik ledgerwood is rumored to come here when the transfer window opens and He's a DM.
Wouldn't mind ledgerwood but not first concern. LM or RM please.
Here's some news for you Morlesio
Looks like TFC has signed it's first player and it's Honduran attacking midfielder Arnold Peralta. I think Amado Guevara had a hand in scouting this player for TFC. Looks like Amado is our Honduran/Central American scout.
Because we had too many stickies that were taking up over 50% of the scrolling page and this thread hasn't filled up in over a year so it's obviously not THAT important. If people are posting in it regularly, it'll stay on the first few pages and shouldn't be an issue.

At a tad taller than 5-foot-7, Peralta isn't likely to be an enforcer in the mold of Roger Espinoza, but he could certainly be similar to Marvin Chavez or Mario Martinez. If he's anywhere close to that duo, TFC may have landed a central piece to their rebuilding campaign.
"The latest in a long line of Catratchos appears to be U-23 midfielder Arnold Peralta, who also has one senior cap to his name. On Thursday morning, the 23-year-old's Honduran club, CD Vida, tweeted that he was headed to Toronto."

so it should be official by friday.
He also plays Defensive Midfielder. I though that was his normal position. If he plays Attacking Midfielder I'd be very glad. A position we could use some help with.

Yep my mistake he's a DM/RB so do not know where Fringe fit's in now. There are twitter rumors out there of Jeff Larentowicz and Ledgerwood Coming to Tor, both the players are DM.
Arnold is a Defensive Mid, but has been playing Right Back for the National Team. At Vida his club, he plays holding mid or center mid, while on the Olympic team he played Central Mid for the beginning of the campaign, before being moved to Right Back permanently in London. He was the one guarding Neymar all game on the right hand side and Spain aswell. He also plays Right Back for the Honduran National Team.. as you saw against Canada, Panama and Cuba.
I think the ledgerwood rumours and larentowicz rumours are dead and Peralta and Frings will battle for starting defensive midfielder spot. 2/3 more midfielders and one more striker. We'll be contenders

I agree we are not sure if Koversman is coming back. One striker we could look at is Olivier Occean who is open to to a mls transfer.
"The Canadian international striker also tells Radio-Canada he's open to an MLS transfer." http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/co...Olivier-Occean
@MLSTransfers says both TFC and New England interested in Honduran international David Molina. Wikipedia lists him as a defender who has been with Motagua (Guevara's club) since 2006 making nearly 100 appearances. Age: 24.
