It would be interesting--even if Harrington was on Team Canada.(but Zadorov was left off team Russia so it almost cancels out)..because if there is any team that could give the top WJHC teams a run for the money it would be this deep and talented Knights team coached by Dale Hunter..Even when their top line is just having an average night in production their secod and third lines can explode on you with scoring and frustrate you with dogged chechhecking and transitions...imagine--even in a game where London's best player (SETH GRIFFITH) gets only 1A and goes -1 they STILL pummel WINDSOR 9-4 for the 22nd consecutive win 9even without their best D-man--Harrington--now this is real DEPTH !

I feel threatened by this thread, and I'm not sure why.

Canada, USA, Russia, Finland, and Sweden are all better than London.

Except they'd have been practising & playing as a team for months.

They would simulate the tournament, and then throw money under the table to the top 10 scorers that already aren't on their team to join their team, then they would win.

That's a really good question actually. London has some really solid players, like Domi, Horvat. However, losing Harrington and Maata is too much, I think they would get 6th or 7th.

Canada was also playing without their 5 best players.

So without those five they were the less talented team?

I agree to a point, obviously talent can overwhelm chemistry. But it isn't to be overlooked, the defining feature of most WJHC wins is the ability to find chemistry with players you aren't necessarily familiar with.

I think they would be medal contenders. If they could keep all their players, anyway, even the WJC-selected ones. You can drop their overagers, though, that won't hurt much. Chemistry, familiarity, coaching all play a big enough role that I think a top CHL team could take the WJC gold. Just my guess, though. I guess we would have to play the games and see.

I think when the talent is close, then chemistry can be the difference. I don't think that London's chemistry would make up for the fact that they don't have near the depth of talent that a Canada, USA, Russia have.

Chemistry is important for sure.

I think you have to let them keep their players currently playing in the tournament. Pretend like you replicate them, 1 for London, and 1 for their country.

They would play for the bronze, then get to watch the Canada / Moosehead final.
