Yeah, I do haha. I know he is a 2 time Super Bowl winner, but the fact he won those with one offensive coordinator who is now gone proves a point. He is a great QB but is inconsistent with different coordinators.

Those interceptions were awful throws and game management. I'm sure he'll learn from it and probably win another Super Bowl before it's all over with, but he'll need some help.

Hockey related: I didn't really get a chance to look up stuff today, it just depresses me seeing these high prices I can't afford.

I never really liked Big Ben. He's a above average quarterback, but not great. Just like Eli. Both players have good if not great teams around them.

Today I finally felt human after having a ridiculous case of the flu all over Xmas that has kept me off the ice. Shame I have a set of nights coming up at work so won't get back on the ice for another 2 weeks

Yea, that 9-7 Giants team last year were really blowing people away.

Had the best defensive line in the NFL. Arguably the best WR corp: Cruz, Manningham, Nicks.

Let's keep it hockey related:

Got invited to play some pick-up hockey today but turned it down. I can't believe i'm saying this, but I wasn't in the mood. Lol.

Lost again to bring our record to 1-7-1. At this rate we're definitely getting moved back down a level.

Personally I have not scored a goal all year after scoring 21 last year. No idea.

Also on pace for -25.

In such a complete funk that it's making it hard to get excited about hockey.

I mean I can dangle and rush up the ice easier than ever before...and then I miss the net by several feet. Or hit the goalie right in the chest or glove over and over. And we don't get a single bounce go our way all year, literally no puck luck.

Ugh.

Oh yeah, also took a skate blade to the chest that somehow snuck under my shoulder pads.

I was worrying about this last night. I hate how guys do the donkey kick, i've never seen the point of it. Plus if you kick too high you get a nasty shot in someone's ribs.

I would try more snap or keeping your head up. From what I can tell if you're hitting the goalie square in the chest or in his glove, you're looking down too much. Maybe try to change the direction of the puck?

I know Alex Semin always used to hit the goalie in the chest, yet he looked up. He never changed the direction at all. Plus his wind up takes forever.

Most of my shots with the 55 flex Warrior are going way wide with a ton of power. Switching to the Nexus the shots lose speed but hit the goalie in the chest or glove.

I put a 1/2" plug in the stick to see if maybe the lie is throwing me off. Gotta do something.

And the woman gave me her death cold. Ugh.

Since the NHL is still struggling to figure themselves out, I got to go to a Portland winterhawks game tonight and had an absolute blast. Man I miss watching hockey.

I finally had time to get the video tape from my friend, convert, and upload.
This was from my last tournament on November 28th, 3rd place match. Scored 5 goals including a penalty shot, but still lost...

Just looked at our standings after the last game... we lead the league in penalty minutes. Woot.

Last game (Sunday) was a stinker. Kept it close for 1.5 periods. Played seemingly half the game 5 on 3. Had 2 guys booted. One of the refs was pretty unprofessional, calling our guys a-holes and d*cks. Fun game all around :-P

Hit my "beginning of the season PT goal" in half the season! I really wasn't expecting my first league experience to go that well. Especially since I skipped the lowest league, but ill take it!

I haven't played a league game in two weeks, and I don't have one until Tuesday. Damn you Christmas/New Years break! I was having such a good season for one of my teams, too...

Anyway, today I signed up for an advanced skills clinic on Tuesday nights so I can get some more weekday ice time.

Road-tripping it 8 hours with four other teammates to play in a 3v3 all night iron man tournament only to head back in the morning to make it back for our beer league game.

Played 29 out of 30 minutes in my game because only 8 of my teams players showed up. Exhausted.

That's impressive, but... your games are only 30 mins?

Got an assist and a +1 in a 4-1 loss. 1-8-1 now. Also didn't see a guy at the last second while stick handling and as I look up and he's on top of me just destroyed him with a stick and body check. Felt bad. Also lightly sprained my wrist.

Started the adult beginner Hockey clinic/scrimmage last night. Had so much fun...can't wait till next week! Probably going to try to get to a Stick and Puck session before then to get more practice time in.

(I am in the black jersey, white socks)
