I've made that mistake many a times in my play by playing in here and I just can't be bothered to change it

Marlies have done some nice breakouts so far. Nothing really dangerous has come from them yet though, Marlies haven't necessarily been able to maintain pressure.

Looks like both teams are trapping the crap out of each other.

I wouldn't say this is a boring game as in there isn't a team trapping to death, but it is pretty lackluster. Neither team is able to get anything going consistently in the offensive end. It's basically get the puck in deep, lose the puck, puck goes the other way, that team gets it in deep, loses it, puck goes the other way....repeat.

I don't really think so, I think both teams just suck offensively right now

Respectfully disagree. . Forechecking pressure is almost non existant, as the neutral zone is clogged down.

Lines from what I can tell

Hamilton - Aucoin - Abbott
Ashton - Colborne - Scott
Ross - Ryan - Frattin
D'amigo - Action - Deschamps

Ranger - Kostka
Holzer - Fraser
Blacker - Gysbers

The Aucoin line seems to be the only one that isn't being juggled so take these lines with a grain of salt.

Just a bunch of perimeter movement on that PP when the puck was in the offensive end, no good chances.

That was a pretty ineffective PP. Their PK box looked great, Marlies couldn't even manage a shot on net.

Pretty sloppy game, passes are not crisp or very accurate.

They definitely miss Kadri and Gardiner, I just hope they are not badly injured but I guess as long as the Marlies are winning, they are going to give them a lot of time recover and not bring them back too fast.

I was a little unkind on the Sloppy game remark, Grand Rapids is checking them pretty closely and forcing them to make passes a little faster than the may like.

1-1 tied game

2nd intermission coming to an end now.

Shots are 17 apiece with the scoring summary as follows:
1. TOR Acton, (5) (Ryan, Kostka), 6:54
2. GR Smith, (5) (Nyquist, Andersson), 8:05 (PP)

How's Ashton looking? He's impressed me the last few games I've watched compared to earlier in the season.

This game I would have to say nothing to complain about, nothing to be wow'ed about. Same could be said for pretty much everyone though.

Recently I too have beginning to like him more. Can't say I watched last years playoffs where apparently he dominated against the Marlies so I have only seen his play this year which up until recently had been pretty terrible

Gysbers has went down a lot after his first pro-season. I feel like the defensive depth has honestly left him complacent and totally shattered.
