I was surprised to hear that the Slovaks were taunting the Canadian bench. They aren't known for that kind of poor sportsmanship.

The knee on Scheifele should have been called. Dangerous play.

Hey Leaf fan, we get it, you wish Rielly were being played more. We don't need every other post suggesting some kind of HC conspiracy. Rielly is a PP specialist during this tournament. Nothing wrong with that. Plenty of time to watch him in Toronto and brag on the internet.

In the meantime, just enjoy the tournament and let everyone do the same.

It's less about Morgan Rielly playing more, and more about someone like Ryan Murphy getting prime minutes because Spott is nepotistic. Instead of that time going towards someone more deserving like Griffin Reinhart, it's being wasted on a player that has been struggling all year.

The team is also playing uninspired hockey and that falls on Spott's shoulders as well.

No need to make ridiculous statements.

Umm...don't know what you have against leaf fans, but Rielly was one of the key players in the comeback today. As a canadian fan it's more beneficial for us to have Rielly, who was a plus four in this game, for even strength rather than Murphy who was atrocious on the first goal of the game.

Don't think it's much of homerism to suggest Rielly should play more than Murphy.

Thoughts on the last two games:

Mackinnon and Drouin's chemistry really reminds me of Hall and Eberle's chemistry. One is a bull that is hard to contain down low, the other one is elusive with silky smooth hands. Of course Spott only plays them when he's down to ten forwards.

The Murphy hate on here is ridiculous. Is he being overplayed? Yep. Did he have a bad first game and first period of game 2? Yep. But every time he loses an edge or doesn't make a tape to tape pass resulting in a breakaway, the pitchforks come out on here. Mob mentality. We all know Rielly should play more, and it was questionable for Spott to take Murphy over Corrado. But let the guy play without criticizing his every move. He was more than adequate in the last two periods.

I wouldn't blame Subban for any of the goals. However, His rebound control has been atrocious, and he's not playing in net with authority and confidence. He does not look comfortable stopping the puck at all. If that doesn't get fixed, it blow up in Canada's face vs the Russians and Americans.

Rielly was real good this game. The kid is a beast when he plays with confidence.

Canada's D zone structure is lacking. Many times I saw players covering the same guy/running into each other, leaving guys wide open. Coaching staff needs to fix this, fast.

Subban is brutal. There's no way Canada will win a low-scoring game with him in between the pipes. Time to make a change!

I don't see any scenario in which Mackinnon's icetime doesn't go way up for next game.

Really happy the IIHF is essentially throwing that Camara call in the trash.

Far from a Leafs fan here. Reilly has been solid and it's laughable that he gets less minutes that Murphy considering he's better in every facet of the game.

What about the first video in the post you quoted? Was that not "sooo cheap and unnecessary" as well?

i know me too. clean hit to me and i think most hockey fans. the Slovakian player made the number one mistake in hockey (dont turn the corner with your head down). I can't believe the refs told Camara his hit was clean and then he was given the 5 and 10

Concussion, six stitches under under his nose and a skull injury (no idea what exactly that is, that's all the article says - a skull injury). Not going to play in this tourney obviously.

But apparently already on his way to the hospital he started to remember some things about the incident and later he was seen communicating fluently, even talking to his parents on the phone.

Glad he can remember some stuff and can communicate; hoping he makes a speedy and full recovery.

Mack & Drouin had some great flashes playing together with Rattie & Ritchie. Need to see more of those 2 with Rattie and I'll be a happy Canadian. Ouellet was solid, but had a "sleepy" 1st period, but the same can be said for the whole team.

Obviously paraphrasing here, but it was something along the lines of "It was dirty. I didn't see it but it was dirty."

Good lord I hope Spott throws Mac and JD together more after their quality ice time in the third period today. Even Ferraro noted their chemistry.

Then said that there was blood on the mask so it wasn't clean.

Do they play with sponges pucks and plastic sticks in Slovakia so people done get hurt?

Is it just me, or was the way the Slovakian team and medical staff handled the player that Camarra hit absolutely ridiculous?!?

3 players rushed to him immediately, trying to make him sit up, medical staff rushing to get him on the stretcher and then literally RUNNING down the ice with the stretcher, not even slowing down when they went over the bump to get off the ice. Atrocious. Do they not know anything about treating an injured player?

The last thing you do is force the guy to try and sit-up right away or rush him off the ice(unless his life is in danger). Every single minor hockey coach in Canada should know better than that!

What a bunch of whiners.

Maybe they should pull on their big boy pants and try playing the game more like the windshield and less like the bug.

Reading your post kinda makes me remember how much I absolutely hate the Canucks medical staff. Mason Raymond has broken back in SCF. Mason Raymond walks off with a tiny bit of help from Kesler. I wanted our medical staff fired after that nonsense.
