Watching this Rutgers/Virginia Tech got me thinking about what is the worst football game I have watched at the pro or college level. This game is up there.
That MNF game between the Dolphins and Steelers in the bog a few years ago has to be up there.
In like 1997, Ditka's first year with the Saints, they went to Chicago for a SNF game, and both teams were terrible, but, you know...it wasn't often that the Saints were on TV in those days, so I had to watch it. Freaken Heath Shuler was the QB
Man, you guys are suckers for offense huh?. My boringest game ever was that Colts Chiefs playoff game where neither team punted once. Bor-ing! Give me hits, sticks and punts any day. Fantasy football continues to ruin our game

Last years Florida/Florida State game was terrible. i think it was 21-7 but FSU was able to score 21 with less than 100 yards of offense and almost had more penalty yards than offensive yards.
I legitimately questioned my fandom after that game, I almost thought it was no longer worth it (the one and only time I did it btw). What an awful game, Iowa taking two safetys because they didn't even feel threatened of PSU kicking a field goal.
Almost all of Michigan's 2008 games qualify for this. It is said that on dark, moonless nights you can still see the footballing ghosts of Nick Sheridan and Steven Threet attempting to complete bubble screens on the field of Michigan Stadium.
The Packers/Seahawks MNF game from this year was pretty unbearable to watch due to all of the flags the replacement officials threw. It seemed like every 2.5 plays a penalty was called.
Of the ones that I remember, the Saints-49ers playoff game last year was terrible(i could be remembering it incorrectly though). I only watched the first twelve minutes of the fourth quarter and the defense and time management were so dreadful, I turned the TV off(typically I'll even watch blowouts till the end). It turned out there were 28 combined points in the last 4 minutes.
Turn down the scoring and I'm describing half of the Steelers games this year.

If that was the worst football game you've ever watched, I....Well, I don't even know what to say...... That game was great.
November 27, 2007 - Miami Dolphins @ Pittsburgh Steelers
The night Heinz Field turned to mush. The scoreless tie was broken with only a few seconds left on the clock, making it the longest a NFL game has gone without a score. And it was on Monday Night Football.

Those were bad, but I nominate the 67-65 game against Illinois two years ago. I may have gotten the score wrong, but that's because after that game, points meant nothing to me...
I actually have fond memories of the 2008 Wisconsin game, sloppy, but at least we made a comeback.
