Is it douchey to show off your bod?

I've been working out for about 4 years, lifting hard and all that. I have finally achieved the perfect body and sometimes like to show it. Not gonna lie, sometimes in clubs I've ended up taking my shirt off while dancing for attention. Hate that it is winter right now, I pretty much exclusively wear tank tops once the weather gets warmer. Whenever I pass a mirror, I almost always stop to flex. A lot of people may think this is "douchey" but I don't really think you can relate unless you also have a nice bod.

Yes, taking off your shirt while dancing and stopping to flex in a mirror is extremely douchey. Wearing tank tops is acceptable provided those tank tops are wife beaters.

It"s douchey. You want to show off your body go to a beach in the summer. Taking your shirt off in the club and flexing in the mirror is douchey lol.

Also thinly veiled brag about working out.

That sounds kinda douchey. But what really bothers me is when people get so upset when people post about the gym on facebook/twitter/etc. I will never understand why people get so offended about that.

Also, alot of people get butt hurt when others post half naked pictures on instagram to show off the guns, but i dont see a problem with it. But then again i work out every day and I am one of them.

I believe it is jealousy. I used to be a skinny nerd and felt the same, but once I transformed physically, I also transformed mentally as well.

I wouldn't say jealousy, I'm just not a fan of people bragging about things. I workout 5 days a week, but have never made a tweet or facebook status about it. Saying "Gone to the gym, career high in bench today" is the same as someone smart going, "98% on my lap today", or "2 goals 1 assist today". A couple of times these things are fine, but nobody really gives a **** about your personal accomplishments, especially when you want everyone to know about them.

Rule of thumb: saying "bod" makes you a grade A ******.

I have a nice body and I don't show it off. If anything, it should be a treat for a girl to see it. Taking your shirt off in public is a guaranteed way to come off as a tool

That's why I tend to believe this post is fake to invoke responses.

I'm in very good shape, but I still consider what you said to be douchey. But you really shouldn't care what we think. If you want to take up space in the world, then do it.
Edit: If you overdo it though, you'll come across as a ****** and someone who is insecure, and you don't want that.

I mean, I don't take it off all the time..but sometimes I get really drunk and it just happens. Girls always love it, think that is the most important part.

If a man takes clothing off on a dance floor to get attention, that attention they seek usually isn't from a female.

It's an alpha male thing. They want to be noticed by both sexes... For different reasons obviously

It is. People are going to notice that you are in shape anyway, you don't need to try so much.

I don't think that necessarily makes you "douchey". You could just be really, really insecure, and still treat people with respect and kindness. You are however a grade A attention *****.

People tend to show off something that they have worked hard for. It's not abnormal, and I agree that it doesn't make him a typical d-bag. I think he just seeks validation from people because he used to be skinny.
