I'm reminded of Christian orchestrating a beatdown of Abyss. Pretty badass and great acting. I actually felt sorry for Abyss. Apparently he needed 60 stitches in the aftermath. The hawker at :24 makes it.
Christian can be successful as a face or a heel --- but he needs mic time. He's one of the best in the business on the mic too. And he needs not to be booked like a completely incompetent heel. His whiner heel personality on Smackdown was okay (he made the best of poor writing) but chicken**** heel works better if they talk about how they are they best rather than whine all the time.
If Christian had a more respectable title reign, I'd have been a lot happier.
At the same time - his championship win meant so much more to me than most because he worked his whole career and finally got there. I hate that everyone under the moon are 3-4-5 or in the likes of Cena and Orton, 100x World Champs. It's stupid.
I'm loving this CM Punk title reign for the pure fact that it's a meaningful reign. It actually feels like he's a World Champion. When you had Cena and Orton and guys like that flipping the titles with Triple H and Bastista every month, it felt stupid. At least to me.
I love when the payoff for a match means something. That moment meant something.
Possibly the most emotional moment I've seen since watching the WWE, dating back to the early 90s.
Sucks that (to me at least) it seems like it was more of a favor / tribute to edge to give christian (edge's best friend) his first world title. That might not actually be the case but that 2-3 day title reign says otherwise to me.
