I don't either. It just seemed like an odd entry in the middle of all the other stuff.

Nothing beats kicking back with a tall glass of johnny walker, and a nice Honduran cigar while listening to Social Distortion.

Yes, I'm able to partake again as they've allowed me to stop taking my meds...1st real time in a few years

My partner is transgender, and the testosterone essentially marks the beginning of his transition.

Today was a busy day.

Got the key to the apartment, moved some stuff in, my mom bought a ton of stuff including new beds for me and the boys.

I can't wait until I'm all moved in.

And my friends and family that are stepping up are amazing!

The best part of my 2012 was finding a job that I actually love, after being unemployed for 18 months. Such a relief.

Playing Scrabble against the sister is always a dicey affair. She knows the game well.

Recognize that you're never too old to change your beliefs, too, whether it be on religion or any other topics. Also, why celebrate Christmas? I'm being sincere, not being snide.

Could have gotten a manual razor, a manual toothbrush, and a larger amount of grocery money.

My biggest event of 2012 happened yesterday. New baby was born! Mei Elanor, 8 lbs. 12 oz. 20 inches. Both the baby and my wife are doing great.

Last night was quite a refresher on what it's like to have a newborn in the house. Looks like I'll be running on 4 hrs. of sleep per day for the next few weeks, if I'm lucky.

2012:
- I got a new job- less stress and BS than the old one. At my age, every little bit helps.
- Our son and daughter are in their last year of college; they both graduate in spring 2013. This means my wife and I are counting down the days to college expenses being just a memory...
-Our son got offered a well paying job that's waiting for him as soon as he graduates.
- Everyone has their health, and our respective families are doing well.
Here's to 2013 being a good year for all.

The Carbon Monoxide detector went off at 3am last night. I just reset it, turned down the furnace, and opened some windows. I feel fine, hopefully its just a false alarm. Going to have national fuel stop by to make sure everything is okay.

It was pretty cute when my one roommate was legitimately scared about dying in her sleep that night, and kept knocking on my door to ask me questions.

Awesome. Glad everyone is ok even if sleep deprived.

My 2012 was pretty run of the mill outside of getting a new job.

Yeah, that **** is pretty serious. You should have had someone come out right away and/or not stayed there.

I'm sure I posted about it, but last year our detector went off a few days before Christmas. Had my wife take the kids and my cat for a drive and I called the fire department/national fuel. Furnace went bad and it was indeed Carbon Monoxide. If the detector hadn't been there and caught it, chances are we could be dead or seriously injured.

Don't **** around with that ****.

Yeah, my grandmother had something like that happen to her house, they were noticeably sick for like 3-4 days (pets included) before they realized what was going on (no alarm). Thankfully nobody was in serious harm.

I asked my roommates if they felt dizzy, light-headed, or nauseous and they felt fine so I figured it would be safe to wait until morning. They were running the stove non-stop on 3-4 burners for about 2-3 hours, and with no circulation out of the house I figured that may have helped (the alarm is right next to our oven). Here's hoping it was just the alarm going wonky.
