Just looking at him on his own, ignoring all the awesome tag work.

Vs Abyss Cage match Lockdown 06

Vs Kaz Ladder match Genesis 07

Vs Joe Destination X 07

vs Rhino 8 Mile Street Fight Bound for Glory 06

On Impact he had a steel caged barbed wire match with Rhino after that one as well IIRC, pretty sure it was on Impact anyway.

If you are a fan of Christian but don't like/watch TNA, check out his TNA DVD "The Instant Classic" for a healthy dose of Christian awesomeness.

It may be an unpopular opinion but I wholeheartedly agree.

His TNA work is amazing.

I also agree with that opinion.

I was hoping that after his impressive work in TNA that when he came back they would give him a good main event push but it never happened.

I've always thought he was an equal to edge. That was why e&c worked.

Im a huge edge mark, but the only thing he had over christian was height, & thats why he was ultimately pushed more.

I don't think anyone here is a bigger Christian fan than me.

One moment I can never find on YouTube that was amazing, was when Christian was with Angle backstage after his hair vs hair match. It was something like "Kurt .. at least the fans won't be chanting you suck anymore!" and Kurt got all happy and then Christian's like "They'll be chanting you're bald, you're bald." bahahahahaha. Amazing.

Another was his conversation on the phone with The Rock when he first started using the term "Peeps." Incredible.

Once he won that World Title, he cemented his spot as my favourite of all-time. Especially since the Benoit & Owen incidents and the fact that Alex Wright was misused and retired early. And my other top-5 guy was never given his real due - Mr. Perfect. I haven't decided whether to knock Benoit out for Jericho or Daniels yet or not.

I love Christian... one of the most consistent wrestlers every night. I can't put him above Edge, though. Edge had the ability to connect with the crowd more than Christian. That's not a knock on Christian, because he still delivered each and every night. Edge is just slightly better and took off.

That moment where Christian finally won the title was one of the best feel good moments of my wrestling watching history. I truly felt the moment. It was incredible.

I don't buy the first point.

The only time that Christian got somewhat pushed (2005), he was a heel and over like crazy. Edge got the constant pushes that Christian never did. Christian got one fairly large push (I won't call it huge because Vince didn't even trust him hence Jericho entering the match), and then was pushed directly back down the card. Ridiculous. Christian could have been just as big as Edge, but they killed him before it started.

Christian was mega over in 2005. Then they moved him to smackdown & used him like ****.

Natey.. I won't change your opinion because you seem to love the underdogs as your top wrestlers. There is nothing wrong with that. But you have to take away from your personal opinion here and realize it wasn't just the opportunity that set Christian just slightly behind Edge.

I'm not slighting Christian at all. But there is no way people can say he's better than Edge. You might prefer one over the other, but this one is pretty open/shut case.

Glad someone other than me said it.

I like Christian. A lot. However he is not in the same league as Edge. Not even close. He's somewhat over with the crowd and he does have his fan base with him, but he seems to lose interest after he's been back for a while. He has the ability to put on an unbelievable match, stipulation or not, and then suddenly get himself lost in the shuffle.

Edge and Christian could have been equals. But like I said, Edge had the benefit of height and had a better look, and Vince loves pushing one guy from a tag team over another.

That's not saying Christian is BETTER than Edge, that's me saying they could have been equals and Christian was held down big time. Christian was on something special in 2005 and could have been huge if he stayed on Raw and ended up winning the WWE Championship at some point. WWE moving him to Smackdown and STILL not even giving him the World Heavyweight Championship was a bad move and ultimately, he left. When he came back, it wasn't the same. His win in 2011 at Extreme Rules proved that he could easily get the fans on his side and connect to them.

I'm saying this as a huge Edge mark. Edge is one of my favourites of all time and when he retired, I quit watching (with the exception of Extreme Rules to see Christian win) until CM Punk cut his promo. IMO, he's the best heel post-Attitude Era. All I'm saying is Christian could have been much more than WWE allowed him to be. He had an infinite amount of glass ceilings hanging over him that eventually, he couldn't break through, and walked out. This is also proven when Christian had his World Championship reign (first one) last two days (five days TV time) and his second reign was off Orton giving him a low blow and then destroying him after their match, only for him to hold the title for a month.

Christian proved how great he was in TNA. Too bad his first title win was an overbooked mess cause Jarrett never puts anyone over clean.

"Christian! Christian! At last... You're on your owwwnwwnn!!" always loved that. That gimmick was the closest I've ever came to being a Christian fan/mark.

However, he did grow on me when I started watching again like 2 years ago and I did always prefer him to Edge.

I always hated Edge, don't know why just did. Never like the E&C team either once they left the Brood.

I stopped watching full time in early 05 before Christian's big push and never watch(ed) TNA other than as background noise so that could be why he's been nothing more than meh to me.

Just listen to his promos or theme or watch his entrance with the jumpsuit and you'll want to take a delorean back to 2005.

This is crazy.. he insults them and still gets a positive reaction.
